Has anyone ever had any luck selling a home thru "For Sale By Owner"?

I am undecided on whether to sell house myself or go thru a realtor?

2. No..... but Good luck. Unless your selling it at a bargain price most homes will sit for at least a year.
3. I saw the people that live diagonally across from me try and do this for about 3 years
4. My aunt and uncle have done it 3 times with relative ease.
5. cat it much better to sell, thru a real estate person, the main reason is the paper work , it isn't hard, but the small item can add up, like deeds payments, lost title, who pays for what , one more point, they sell it faster, and I'm told more houses sell 15% better thru a real estate person . if you need a plumber, why hire a painter? its the same for you, ie your work is been a nurse , not real estate right?
