I getting ready to buy a central air condition unit for my house in south florida. My measurement are 1632 Sq.?

Measurement is 1632 Sq.Ft of A/C area for the house. How much BTU do I need.

2. Two different sources are listed below. Generally 22,000 to 25,000 BTUs as base capacity, with adjustments as noted in inspectapedia.com for unusual physical situations.
3. Get estimates from several well recommended air conditioning companies. They should be able to tell you what is needed. It isn't always a matter of square footage since the type of windows and amount of insulation also have to be factored in. New units are usually more efficient and that also makes a difference. We had a 3 ton Rheem when we lived in a 1400 sq. ft. house in Cutler Bay. It did a good job of cooling.
