Can I loose my earnest money when buying a short sale house after waiting for 8 months?

I put an offer 8 moths ago on a house ( is a short sale) , I been waiting this long and nothing has happened , I'm really tired of waiting and I want my money back ... can they give it back to me ?

1. you should not just have your realtor with draw from the contract due to their no answer
2. The answer to your question depends on the language used in your offer to purchase. If you did NOT include any contingency language indicating that your offer was contingent upon lender approval, you may well be denied any earnest money refund.
