How do you find out of what areas are safe, nice and reasonable to buy a house?

In other words how do you find out about the neighborhoods and the costs of house online?

1. Realtors are a good source of this information. But if you are a slave to your Internet, I suggest you utilize the census bureau and a lot of investigation on the website of the local board of realtors
2. If you need information about an area call the sheriffs department they will give you that information. Not much i can tell you about the costs related to a home without the location.
3. contact the local police station to find out what the crime is like in the area...
