Which occupation has the lowest value for our society in your opinion?

Just some ideas - Lawyers, Real Estate Agents, Politicians, CIA Agents, Used Car Sales Man, Gambling Casino Owner.....

3. ALL work is equally valuable, because the people who do it are making a necessary contribution to society. We need sewage workers and carpenters just as much as we need lawyers and doctors. We should NEVER look down on people just because they do jobs that are low-paying and aren't considered prestigious.

6. Any occupation that lets you live well off of the suffering of others. Some examples would be lawyers, mortgage brokers, and politicians.
7. Stockbrokers, their entire career centers around something based solely on faith.

9. Professional athletes. They should just have to do that on the side for fun. The teachers and firefighters and people with very important jobs get paid way less and have to train more than those who happen to play a sport well. And they waste space in TV and newspapers with all their drug use scandals, paternity issues, etc. They get paid way too much for what they contibute to society, which is nothing.
10. Religious preacher, not only lowest value, but also harmful.

12. When you consider how little they are paid compared with how important their job is, I'd say our society places its lowest value on teachers.
