2. I would check craigslist thats a great place to find used cars. just go to www.craigslist.com and goodluck
3. In the local paper for sale ads. If you buy from Ebay or Craigs list make sure it's a car that's local to your area so you can check out the car complete the deal face to face. Buying one sight unseen is a sure way to get scammed.
4. I'll second craigslist.org and ebay motors. The Kelly Blue Book site (kbb.com) and cars.com are also good resources to search a larger area. Since you are specifically looking to buy a car from a private seller, you should know that both have a specific search filter making it easier to see private seller ads only. Good luck!
