We have good credit and a gross monthly income of about 2,000 which I know is not alot but where I live in a small town in Texas, it does us pretty well. There is a house for sale for about 7,000 it's just a little starter home and they guy is helping us out because we are young with one kid and another on the way. I know the bank will not finance a trailer home so we would have to get out a personal loan. SO I was wondering, what is the most you think we could get a loan for? Could we even get one significant at all? We have gotten loans in the past for up to 500 dollars no problem. Tomorrow we will visit the bank, but in the mean time, I am just wondering.

I doubt it. Sometimes in small towns if it's a local bank and the banker knows you and your family, then they will go out on a limb and make loans that they normally would not. If it's a branch of a big chain (like Bank of America, etc.) then I know they will not. I honestly don't think that anyone would make an unsecured loan for $7,000.00 I wish the news was better, but I don't think you are going to get the answer you're hoping for. About the only way that will happen if someone wants to do owner financing. Did you ask the man about that? If he needs a replacement home he will not be interested in financing it himself. If he is looking for a monthly income, he might do it. It's worth a try. Good luck.
