Where is a great place for a 30 year old professional to buy a house in Florida?

I am a single, 30 year old professional, single, straight male who is looking to relocate out of CA (since I have to rent here) I don't want to spend more than $200,000 on a house (preferably less) and would like to be in a house, not a condo, the closer to the beach the better. I have a dog, so having some yard space is nice as well. Being close or having access to an area with nightlife and a younger crowd would be nice as well. Thanks in advance for any advice! I should add I can work from anywhere (I work out of my house)

1. You don't say what kind of work you do, which may be a factor in what suits you best. The Tampa area seems to be weathering the recession far better than Orlando or Miami.
