I have bad credit and am on single parent pension, how can I buy a house?

I want nothing more than to own my own home, but I can't afford the rent to buy houses, and banks won't give me a chance because I have bad credit and don't work. I'm willing to do whatever it takes, does anyone know any way or any company that can help me? Oh by the way I live in NSW Australia.
