house is up for sale but I havent consented, where do I stand?
estate agent has put property on market without my consent and I am joint owner, can I tell them to take it off?

- As long as your name is on the deeds then yes.
- I would say they need permission from both owners so no they cant and yes you can.
- If the house is in forclosure, you might not have any choice.
- Its your house, if you weren't ready for it to be up for sell and you hired the agent then it is definitely you call. You could also consul with an attorney.
- Absolutely! If your name is on the deed then you need to consent to the house being put up for sale. What they did is not right and you can have the house taken off the market!

- Yes you can. I would have thought that they did not know it was joint ownership. Sounds like the other owner has not told them.
- Unless it is a forced sale due to non payment of the mortgage or non payment of secured loans then you can stop the sale. The bit you don't tell us is why you would want to do that!
