Online House Hunting

what are some good sites to find trucks for sale?

Ok so 2 weeks ago my parents went fishing, they left around 7 at night and were on their way back home at midnight when someone ran a stop sign and hit them going about 50 my parents were going about 50-55 and the excuse that the man gave them was that he "thought it was a 4-way stop" are you too stupid to even stop at a 4-way cause you think they are gonna stop too when you can clearly see that they arnt slowing down?????????? anyways the man totaled my dad's pride and joy he had a 1998, been in the family Toyota Tacoma, 4x4, 5 speed, ext cab, only like 70k miles, perfect running condition, well maintained, very nice truck, lifted, had extras on it, etc. and a nice bass boat that was easily accessible by my papal and my dad's favorite out of all the boats he has ever owned. Anyways they took the truck to be junked cause it was unrepairable but he got to keep the boat but its gonna need work and a new trailer---it landed up side down in a ditch cause the impact broke the hitch and slung the trailer around my dad has been looking for a truck since the day after the accident and he has found a few he liked on craigslist and auto trader but we are running out of luck and my dad can not stand being confined to the house Does anyone know of any good sites that have trucks for sale that are actually REAL trucks and not fake ads? We live in GA if that helps any. He doesnt wanna buy from a dealer either. any help on sites would be greatly appreciated mad jack:: thanks i never knew that about the rust, but my dad loves Toyota thats the only kinda truck he will buy, and he has been looking for another tacoma which i think he should try a ford maybe a ranger or something just to take him hunting/shooting in and do a scope around the property in and for pleasure driving but idk he wants a tacoma--he wants to find one just like his old one but its one away from being impossible since we have found one just like it but it has like over 160k miles on it and its also green--his was black which i think as long as its not a white truck (harder to keep clean) then he doesnt care about the color but the millage gets to him so idk what he's gonna do, i would like to find one with in the next week that is a good fit for him cause their anniversary is sunday and it would be the perfect gift :]

  1. autotrader.com motors.ebay.com usedcars.com
  2. Craigslist.com you can find alot of cars on there and you can specify your state and city and it will give you local people too.
  3. Shopping on the Internet is not a good idea. I would never buy a vehicle site unseen. You could very easily wind up paying way too much for a piece of junk. Most used vehicles are sold "As is - No Warranty". This also applies to private sales. So the moment you buy the vehicle any problems, known or hidden, are now your problems. This is why you should always personally inspect the vehicle before you buy. You have options instead of buying over the Internet. Even if you plan to buy from a private party. First, try the local newspaper classified section. Also, many local newspapers will have a website. Frequently they will post their classified section on their website. Many local areas will have a shopper magazine with vehicles for sale in the local area. Most of these vehicles will be within a 100 mile radius of the city where the magazine is sold. You can usually find these shopper magazines at your local gas station, convenience store, or sometime at the grocery store. If he is looking for another similar Tacoma he may have a hard time finding one. These trucks have a problem with severe rust on the frame. Toyota has been quietly buying up these trucks and has them crushed. This is why they are so hard to find. Open your favorite Internet search page and search for "Toyota rust", without the quotes.
  4. Your best bet is an auto agent who works on your behalf and not a dealership. They usually can either find the car at a near buy dealer and negotiate a way better deal or obtain the car through an auto auction saving you thousands. I used a guy name Pat with nohassleautosale.com my brother told me about he has been my car-goto-guy. I would try that save yourself some time and money find an agent in your area through a yellowpage search.
