Online House Hunting

i am british and live in the uk. if i buy a house in the US how long can i spend there per year?

if i bought a house in Florida how long could i stay there? would i be able to live there once retired? many thanks for all answers :o)

1. 6 months. Unless you have a substantial amount of money to invest in a business.
2. Check the Florida State Website. You don't have to apply to be an American citizen but I think you have to prove you can support yourself and have reasonable means of income etc. My friend's grandparents go for 6 months during the winter then come back. But many people do retire to Florida, so the website will give you more of the answers you are looking for.
3. Visa free - 90 days If you apply and receive a tourist visa, up to 6 months. To live year round you'd have to apply for citizenship. Good luck with that.
4. You can stay for 6 months.
