Need help on pricing a consignment sale item?

I bought this at a consignment sale for $20 and I don't have room for it in my house. http://www.target.com/Simply-Shabby-Chic-Vanity-Table/dp/B0007T307O/sr=1-2/qid=1237171013/ref=sr_1_2/175-8553691-9089161?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k%3Avanity%20table&page=1 --- It's Like New, but it does have a chip the very bottom of one of the legs, but I've painted it so it's not really noticable. Anyways, I'm puting it into another consignment sale. I'd like to at least get my money back out of it. The consignment people take 30%. I thought about puting it in for $25.00 or could I get more? I don't want to be bringing it back home so I don't want to price it too high. What would you personally give for it at a sale?

  1. I would price it as $35 or best offer. Someone will take it i'm sure.
  2. I think anywhere 30-40 would be a steal!
  3. I'd pay $30 or $35 if I were in the market for such a thing. It would be so pretty in a little girl's room. Definitely $30, though. Our consignment sale has a 25% off and then a 50% off sale, so if the original price was too high you still get something and it saves you the trouble of hauling a bunch of stuff home. If yours doesn't have that, you may want to suggest it.
  4. List for $35 tor $45 dollars...look on ebay to see how much they go for there...
  5. I would pay up to $50 for it. I suggest placing an ad on Craigs List and stating that Target sells it for $99. Don't mention that you bought it at consignment but do mention the damage to it. I personally like Craigs List because I don't have to ship anything!
  6. I say $45 The consignment place I take my stuff to has the option of marking something for 1/2 price on the last day of the sale. I do that in order that I at least make something off it and not have to drive back to pick it up!
