Where is the best place to buy a used car in Saint Louis with poor credit?

I'm a student and don't have the best credit or high income, but I need a car to get to work. I've seen commercials for places like Car Credit City, but it seems to good to be true. I cannot afford a used car for sale by owner because I would need to $$ all at once. I have other expenses.
