First time in Vegas..advice on picking from these hotels?

I'm going to Vegas for 4 nights in April & have no idea which hotel to pick. I want something in a good location where its easy to walk & get around to attractions. My fiance are buying a house so we're on a low budget, but we want a decent room that isn't tiny & has some kind a view. We're not too picky, but we plan on getting married while we're there so its kind of a big deal to me. We will do a little gambling but only on slots & low-bid tables, and want cheap restaurants. I kind of want a suite. I'm wondering if the Rio will be ok since its so cheap, or is it too inconvenient because its not on the strip. Is the Venetian a good deal? Or should I splurge & stay at the Signature? Any help would be appreciated. 1. I went to Vegas last year and we stayed at the Luxor. It's not too bad and there is a good buffet you can go to at the Excalibur (connected by a walkway) which is very decently priced and great food. The tower rooms are newer and bigger than the pyramid rooms but I think the view from the tower is blocked by the pyramid so probably not so good as far as the view is concerned. It's also at the end of the strip so it takes some time to walk to the other end. MGM and New York New York are located in pretty much the same area. NYNY has an awesome rollercoaster out the front it is so much fun. I wouldn't stay somewhere not on the strip. If I were you maybe I'd try Caesar's Palace.
2. I would personally go with Caesers, based on those rates. In my opinon, its significantly better then the hotels mentioned above it. ( the cheaper ones)
3. If you do not have a car then forget the Rio. Forget the Trump it is not exactly on the strip either. Also the Signature even though it is attached to the MGM it is a far walk to the strip from there. I would choose Planet Hollywood for ten bucks more than Luxor. I can see how difficult it is to choose. You might contact this wedding chapel to see what packages they have. I know they are partnered with the Palms.

5. I am kind of leaning towards Luxor or Planet Hollywood, for the location and relative value. The prices are all so close it's hard to make a decision. Planet Hollywood location is better for walking. Rio is not a bad hotel at all, I would say it's actually better than NYNY, except the location means you might be spending a lot on taxis. If you are going to splurge, I would say Venetian is the best value out of the high-end options.
