Wells Fargo bails out on Vegas trip after getting busted. Your thoughts?

1. WASHINGTON – Wells Fargo & Co. is likely on the hook for hefty cancellation fees after abruptly scrapping its upcoming retreats to Las Vegas casinos. The company, which received $25 billion in taxpayer bailout money and recently announced a $2.3 billion loss for the last quarter of 2008, had booked 12 nights at two of the most expensive hotels in Las Vegas for events that included a luxurious four-day employee sales conference. But after lawmakers and investigators admonished the company, Wells Fargo scrapped the trip Tuesday night. 2. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., said banks were acting "stupid" and making it harder for lawmakers to defend them. "People really hate you," he said, imploring banks to do everything possible to avoid offending people. "And they're starting to hate us just for hanging out with you." Enough of admonishing them, people need to start being incarcerated. Dude, leave Mr. Frank alone. He's on our side. The banks obviously aren't. A boost for Vegas perhaps but not a boost for the overall economy. Face it, these fat cats are all selfish butt holes who don't give 2 rats about our economy; not to mention the American people.

4. I hate congress who got us in this mess with their endless spending & now trying to get out of it they spend even more typical. Their spend created it & their spending to get out of it but wont success. These are trying times especially for banks & companies on the verge of bankrucie or worse. Especially after a big layoff or other bad news you need to boost moral & rally the troops so its understandible that they would have a little spending spree to try to get employees to focus again & boost moral. Obviously sending people to vegas & staying in luxery hotels is extreme instead of sending people to a rock show or something but again when you have a large company you have to shell out larger amounts. We still pay congress & pay for their perks even though for years they have lead us to this situation with their endless spending & pork crap. Bush was accused of trying to boost oil for his cronies what do you think Osama & his democratic congress is doing for those who helped with the lights & mirror stage show that the cult leader osama needed to brain washing people into helping him win the election. Now he has to pay his puppet masters. Only its going to cost you & I more then it ever did with Bush. He's already out spending bush who had 8 years & two wars among natural disasters to spend money on. For those who voted for him LOL following the wolf in sheeps skin LOL. 6. Yes, no wonder their companies are failing, when they are so extravagant. And giving them more money to waste is just about as productive as flushing it down the toilet. With companies losing money, they continue their lavish salaries, bonuses, perks and lifestyles. And now they have public monies to squander, the way that Congress does!! It shows quite clearly that they haven't learned how to economize, and they just don't get it. The American taxpayers are being taken to the cleaners by our own government, and many of the government don't even pay their own taxes, as shown us by Obama. And Obama doesn't seem to think that there's anything wrong with his cronies not paying their taxes!! Look at Geithner!! Obama dumped Daschle only after public outrage, and if Daschle was dumped, then it's mandatory that Geithner be dumped, also. Nothing less is fair, but fairness, honesty and integrity don't exist in the American government, especially Congress and the White House. "Equal justice for all" does not exist in the United States.
7. Yes, I can. If they weren't so clueless, they wouldn't have gotten into the mess for which they needed the bailout in the first place. 3. Barny doesn't realize that he shouldn't be hanging out with them because people aren't too keen on him, either, since he's one of the reasons the banks failed in the first place. See? CLUELESS!
8. Well...I live in Vegas and our economy is totally suffering. This would have been a boost. EDIT: Are you just as concerned about the cost of the Dems retreat at a resort and spa that the president just gave his massively partisan speech?
9. I do all my banking business with the highest rated credit union in the state. These big national banks have been ripping people off through fees and whatever chicanery they can get away with for years. ∠°)
