where is a good cheap place to buy a house in florida?

im looking for somewhere close to the beach in a decent neighborhood thats not too expensive. my budget is 150,000.and i dont know florida so i need some help.

Look at Pensacola Fla, the cost of living is very low there compared to the other citys, I lived there 23 years and now live in nashville tn, good luck and injoy the sunshine
Right now im in Tampa FL and it is really nice living here and there is alot of affordable housing. It is a great location because you are never far from a beach and you have downtown tampa and st. pete at your fingertips. For 150,000 you can get a nice house and the neighborhoods are nice as long as you are in a gated community.
The housing crises has hit Florida as hard as any other state. There is no shortage of houses for sale and prices have been reduced significantly. One poster was correct that the Tampa area had some nice houses in the 150k range. It is also one hell of a town.
Think about Homeowners Insurance...a lot of companies have pulled out of Florida....that is going to be another expense
