Should I buy a used Daewoo Nubria? URGENT!?
Hi, My boyfriend and I are looking at purchasing a used car. One option we've found particularly attractive is a 2000 Daewoo Nubria SE that we found on Craigslist. The car is for sale by its original owner and has low (75k) mileage. It looks to be in good shape. However, our research has told us that Daewoo no longer sells cars in America and that we will have difficultly getting it serviced. Should this keep us from buying the car? It's very cheap, and we don't plan on using it that often or for that long. However, we don't want to end up with a broken car that we can't fix (because parts are hard to find). Thanks!

- Parts maybe hard to find at your local parts store but you can find anything on the net some where.
- do not buy this car, daewoo and kia's are piece of crap throw away cars
- Exactly as the one guy said. Daewoo is a throw away car. Not high quality at all... If you look on any well known car sight they will never rate a Daewoo high on anything. It may be cheap but I'd put my money on something else if I were you.
- No way. Before you buy it, do a search to try to find parts for it. I can almost guarantee you won't be able to find any parts. If you do, they won't be cheap. As soon as something goes wrong with it, you will have to throw it away.
- Company went broke years ago. NO PARTS. The car is worthless
- Yes, the reasons you give should send you running FAR away from any Daewoo. To reiterate: 1) The car has very little book value as it is. If you were to take that car to a dealer for trade, 99 out of 100 would probably give you $0. If you ever tried to turn around and sell it, you would be very hard-pressed to find a buyer. 2) Daewoo's were not reliable to begin with. And now, you're trying to extend the life on an 8-yr old car with no warranty? 3) Parts are indeed impossible to find. You will not be able to find anyone that can service it at a reasonable cost. I think you've answered your own question.
