How do I buy a house for cheap? And I mean cheap!!!!!!!!!!?

I know that people can buy houses for really cheap. But how do they find them! I really want to buy a family member a house but I only have 5-10,000 dollars for it

2. Even at a foreclosure auction, any house that you find in that price range is going to need tens of thousands of dollars in repairs & upgrades. We bought a foreclosure last year for $35,000 and looked at a few that were priced lower. Believe me, we are still rennovating. If you still want to try, call a Realtor. Tell him/her what you have to spend and be prepared to look at a lot of handyman specials and fixer-uppers.
3. I don't think anyone can build a home, let alone buy a home that cheap. Even bank REOs are more than 5-10k in cost and the majority of the time need to be fixed up. I suggest you find someone that is having a difficult time paying their mortgage and if their loan is assumable, take over their mortgage and title to property. Give them a few grand once they move out to cover their moving expenses. Regards...
