Online House Hunting

please help i live in new york but want to buy a house in Florida.Can anyone tell me how much(roughly) a 3BR?

1-2 bath house will cost.I don't want a fixer-upper but it does not need to be a palace just a nice house.Being specific maybe the St. petersburg/clearwater area.

1. Call the county assessors office and ask if they could send you some past assessments in that area. Call some real estate offices where you live now and ask if they have offices in the area you are looking at and could they send some info on what you want to buy. Call some newspaper offices down in Florida and ask for a couple months subscriptions to the papers be sent to you
2. just go to remax.com and you'll find great properties at a good price.
3. 2 ideas: 1 - go to any real estate website and look for properties in the area you are looking at. that will give you a price range. 2- Many Realtors have a relocation program and or staff that deal exclusively with what you are saying...they assist you in buying a house elsewhere in the US. 4. First off St. Petersburg is a beautiful place to live, The average price of a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom is around $250,000 and up. I recommend that you get a real estate agent as soon as possible and check out homes for sale on google or yahoo. Most sights come with pictures and details about the homes, Good Luck
5. I live on the east coast of Florida, but I am thinking the price range would be about the same. Due to the ridiculous homeowner insurance rates in this state, the housing market has dropped. For a basic 3/2/1 (bedroom/bathroom/garage) you are looking around $180,000 or so. You definitely need to get with a realtor before you look too seriously. This is a buyer's market here. A realtor can help you out so much more than you know!
