Online House Hunting

If I have money to buy a house in cash, should I look at foreclosures? Where can I go online to do that?

  1. You can find foreclosures on Yahoo but you can probably use the state that you live in and foreclosures in the search bar to find homes in your area. Good luck!!!!
  2. Be very careful with foreclosures, especially when representing yourself. I think the best thing you need to do is find a highly qualified real estate agent in your area, express what you are looking for, and you can also talk to them about foreclosures. Foreclosures may save you lots of money in the end, but you are at the mercy of the bank which can take lots of time sometimes to close a deal. Check out foreclosure books at your local library or bookstore, and good luck finding a place!
  3. The biggest problem you will have is that with cash you have fewer people on your side watching over your investment. When you get a bank loan the bank requires you (in most cases) to get an appraisal and a home inspection. with foreclosiers there is a higher rate of defects in a home. You need to make sure you take the right precautions on your own. I would use a realtor to offset some of the liability, and its free to buy with one. If you need help finding one, I can help. I am a referral agent that specializes in matching buyers to agents in any state. you can email me at jerimiahake@yahoo.com.
