Horse holiday costume idea!!!!!? Ok, so my barn does a horse decorating contest for the holidays. I need help thinking of an idea to dress my horse up as. I'd love to do something where I had to dress up too. The prize is free board for a month, so I have to think of something good!!!! Last year the girl who won made a gingerbread house costume for her horse. I can paint him too if needed. Let me know if you have any ideas, and also how you might suggest i make that costume for him. Thanks!!!! Ok... what do you think about this idea I just thought of. Somehow make my horse into a christmas tree... ornaments and all, and put a star on top of his head. Then I could get inside a box wrapped like a present and put a big bow on top of my head. Good?
how much does a professional costume designer make when he or she is working for a haunted house?!?!? Example he or she is working for an amusement parks, and make costumes for employees on halloween or some other holiday to use for work and scary people or etc. i want to know how much does he or she make.

Halloween costume idea: half 1950's housewife, half naughty lingerie- what do you think? Just looking for alitte un-bias feedback on a costume idea I had: half 1950's house wife, half naughty lingerie I figure I can find a 1950's-ish dress & apron, cut it in half lengthwise, then hem up the edges so they look clean-cut, then stich the dress onto a corset & mini skirt that way when I put on the corset & mini-skirt half my body would be covered by the 1950's dress and the other half of my body would have the corset & mini skirt exposed I could wear a conservative nylon stocking on the 1950's dress side, and black fishnet stocking on the corset & mini skirt side a classic pair of black heels, my hair down but with loose curls alittle background information about me: I am 22, a stay at home mom I'm in the best shape of my life since I've been working out alot after giving birth to my son (now 18 months) I'm normally a t-shirt and jeans type of person, very very rarely "dress-up" its common knowledge amongst our friends-family that I am a traditional type of wife- I cook big meals every night, I keep the house clean, etc.. Halloween is my favorite holiday though I usually put more effort into decorating the house and helping friends with their costume than I put into my own costume. For example, last year I spent a month making my son a Freddy Krueger costume for his first Halloween but I only spent 2 hours putting together my Amanda Krueger costume. The year before that I spent 3 days straight carving a dozen intricate pumpkins for our walk-way but I only spent 30 min in a thrift store to make my black-cat costume. So...is this costume idea "too much" or do you think its a fitting costume for me?
bIacks, which holiday do you prefer the most for looting? Halloween or Christmas? Its hard to tell since on Halloween, you guys can wear your natural hair and ski masks, and people will think its a costume (plus you can hold up white folks right at their front door since they will assume you were a trick r treater). Or, do you like christmas since so many white folks go out of town to see family or on vacations, leaving their big houses unattended and ripe for the pickin? Which do you prefer and why? This is a safe space, so be honest.
what is your most memorable holiday memory? My favorite holiday memory in particular was last Christmas. I decided to sign up to play the Virgin Mary in the nativity play at my church. It was great they rented farm animals and they nade a replica of Jesus' house and stuff like that and they gave me my costume and we hadn't rehearsed or anything so we went out and winged it. Well we started the play and someone forgot to put imitation baby Jesus in his little rocker and left him on the hay sack i was suppose to sit on and I come out nervous and just a mess and I sit on Jesus!!! It was emberassing but that's not the worst part after all the gasps from the audience ( I mean it's not like I sat on the real Jesus ^o^) one of the sheep decided to take a poop just as the angel was suppose to pop out of the roof ( yeah some more gasping) but all in all it was a beautiful memory it was Oscar material (lol) anyway my mom got it all on video so if I ever need a laugh I know where to look =]
Favorite Holiday And Why? What is your favorite holiday and tell why.My favorite is Halloween because of the costumes and decorating my house.
Isn't Halloween supposed to be a scary holiday? it used to be celebrated by people of all ages.from little kids to tweens and teens, adults and even some pedestrians. No one had the worry of teenagers being bad and trashing and destroying any-ones property. Halloween was merely another family holiday that everyone enjoyed. Halloween used to be the one time of year when we could scare each other. But now that parents are becoming more and more conscious of their young child's safety against Teenagers? What will teens really do to young kids? not all teenagers are irresponsible kids that just want to cause trouble. Some teens "like myself for example" still enjoy dressing up on Halloween and getting free candy trick or treating. I am 15 years old and I still like to trick or treat. And I will continue to. Its sad to say that now the holiday is becoming a holiday for just elementary kids and younger. This last Halloween (10/31/10) was not what i wish it could have been. Most of the houses that I remember going to when I was younger their lights were off, only 2 houses in my entire neighborhood were "scary" what Halloween should be, and I had one woman refuse to give my friends and I candy because we are "too old for Halloween" so she told us to drink water from her garden hose! . I didn't know that there was a age limit on holidays? And if Halloween is a quote on quote "kid holiday" then why do adults dress up and sometimes inappropriately and why don't we start calling Halloween Little kid day? and instead of saying "happy Halloween" we would say "happy little kid day!". As far as the candy wrappers being slightly open just check your candy and if you happen to get one candy slightly opened, then THROW IT AWAY!!!! Trick or treating should be what it was made for NOT a little kid holiday. When I was younger I always loved the thrill of being scared on Halloween, now Halloween seems to be a holiday to show off your baby or toddler in a costume. Yea it is cute, but you have to look at this problem both ways. On one side you have Teenagers who want to be scared and free candy, the other you have parents who think all teens would do anything to get into trouble (not true!) Making sure a child is safe and is having a great time on holidays are every parents dream. But think about the parents of teenagers and their opinions on Halloween these days. Think about your Halloweens spent trick or treating. I may be 15 and yes I went trick or treating with my friends but my mom also went to supervise us. Is that a wrong thing to do? I ask my question again Isn't Halloween supposed to be a scary holiday? ~Chelsea...the sophomore ~trick~or~treater~ I actually enjoyed my mom coming along with me. I thought it made the holiday more enjoyable to spend with my friends and my mom. plus my friends enjoy spending time with my mom just as much as I do
Having an argument with my wife: Am I drunk, or isn't this the holiday where the kids dress up & go for candy? I have their costumes all ready and had planned to take them around the neighbourhood with their trick-or-treat bags as soon as it is dark, but my wife says I'm drunk and is threatening to have her fat mother come over and sit on me so I can't leave the house.
What costume should I get for Halloween? So Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I go all out with decorations in my house and parties that night. What are your children going to wear for Halloween? I'm just wondering, because we went shopping for costumes and decorated our house. =) Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays (besides Christmas) and this year I am pregnant. =) Lauren (7yrs) is going to be cheerleader. Jayden (7yrs) is going to dress up as an Air Force Pilot. Aidan (5yrs) is going to be a ghost. Claire (2yrs) is going to be Ariel. As for me an hubby, we don't know yet. We go to a Halloween party every year (no alcohol!). =) So, what are your kids going to be for Halloween?
Problem with my discontinued/holiday items on runescape.? Hello. To keep it brief; I'm sure I have the skeleton costume, the jack'o lantern mask, and the chicken outfit. However ... Diango doesn't have them, they aren't in my bank, and they aren't in the chest in my house either. I remember doing the event and wearing said items; does anyone have any explanations as to how I can do something about this, or has this happened to anyone else, if so, what did you do? Thanks in advance, Joe x

What was the reason halloween was invented? usually all holidays have a reason why it was invented, so what is the meaning of halloween? What got people dressing up into costumes and going around asking strangers for candy? Isn't it called the pedofiles holiday because that's the only time of the year where the kids come to THEIR house for candy? XD
Can someone translate this for me please? It needs to be perfect Spanish and no errors. Thank you... Please no translation sites, my teacher says that they don't use grammar correctly. Dear Pablo: The holiday that I like to celebrate the most is Halloween. My family and I dress up in costumes and scare little children. It is custom that we carve pumpkins the day before, but this year we carved them the day of Halloween. This holiday will always be my favorite. We meet in my house every year. It is always fun. This year my friend Kyle came with us. And I also get to spend time with my family, which I like.
Halloween: Have adults hijacked a children's holiday? Okay, undoubtedly I'm going to annoy a lot of people, but I have to voice what has been my observation for many years now. When I was a small child -- 60's and early 70's -- Halloween was very much a children's holiday, and the adults saw it that way and worked to make it a lot of fun for the kids. Even the schools and Churches had Halloween parties and carnivals. Kids of course went trick or treating, and there were plenty of parents out to make sure everything was a safe and secure event (not that we didn't manage to slip away and do our share of yard rolling, etc.) Somewhere along the way though, retailers -- and bars and nightclubs -- decided there was more money to be made by turning Halloween into an adults holiday -- as I understand, it's now the biggest holiday celebrated by adults. As a result, in my opinion, the holiday has become something a bit "ugly". There are haunted houses that are far too intense and gruesome for children. Bars and nightclubs have costume parties, contributing to that much more drunk driving on the road. Parents more often than not take their kids to controlled venues for trick or treating -- such as schools or churches. And speaking of that, Halloween carnivals have been replaced by "fall festivals" and such, I would say in reaction to what the holiday has become. That part is sad, and although I don't agree with a lot of the concerns about "satanic" and "evil" influences, I do understand where they're coming from on that. I look forward to responses and other perspectives.
When you were a kid, what was your favorite candy or treat did you like most on Halloween? Halloween was such a fun holiday when I was growing up. We'd dress up in costumes, go to all the neighbors houses and get candy and it was so much fun! So, what was some of your favorite Halloween memories?
How did Halloween come to be? How was Halloween declared an actual holiday where people go out "trick or treat", dress up in costumes, and get candy from houses with their lights on? How did all of that start?
Halloween costumes!!!! :D? I know Halloween is 1 Month way but I like to plan ahead, my friends think Halloween is childish! Its not! It's my favorite holiday! Could you give me costume ideas that could be a little scary, maybe I could dress up as a guy? I have a Really blank mind right now, also could you give me ideas for decorating your room or house? Halloween - Handing out candy for trick or treaters? Do you like to decorate your house and get dressed up to hand out candy to trick or treaters? Our night is tonight (FRI 10.26), and I am looking forward to going home and getting the house ready as well as getting my costume on for the trick or treaters who will be coming by! I just think it's a lot of fun and wanted to hear what everyone else thought about enjoying the holiday. Have a Happy Halloween!
Is Halloween becoming less of a holiday and more of a regular day? I've questioned myself this a lot until tonight, and I said "yes". What happened? Our neighborhood is safe, and there hasn't been one crime in our entire neighborhood in the last 15 years I've been here. I was walking around our neighborhood, by myself going around blocks and blocks and I actually got three times more candy from people ,because they weren't getting any trick or treaters lately and guess what? I didn't even wear a costume! (I don't dress up.:/) I was LITERALLY the only one in the ENTIRE neighborhood trick or treating at 8 o'clock. I remember back in the day, maybe 2003 or 2004. People would go in their front lawn, put fog machines out, tables, and brews and handed candy, people would blow fireworks some of the time. Now, it's no where near that. What happened to the good old days? I'm sure safety isn't a big concern since we have a really low crime rate. Oh, and and maybe only 30% of the houses were decorated, and only about 45% of the houses were open to trick or treaters. Are we know just sick and tired of holidays?
what do you do when you like a guy? i have no clue what to do i feel like i will have to wait forever for him to make his first move! whenever i am near him i feel awkward because at the holiday party at my house he came and we had the same costume and everyone was saying we should date! i felt so weird when he heard that i and i promised him that i did not like him but now i do what do i do!
whats you favorite holiday? mines halloween when it comes around i just take a big sigh and take it all in and i skip school and drive around going to haunted houses eating candy corn, candy, candied apples. and usually see a scary movie then have a big costume party and raise my pumpkin juice to the moon and say "here's to you!" ahhh memory's
Is Halloween innocent? History of Halloween Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom as well as of Australia and New Zealand. Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced "sah-win"). The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture. Samhain was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. The festival would frequently involve bonfires. It is believed that the fires attracted insects to the area which attracted bats to the area. These are additional attributes of the history of Halloween. Masks and consumes were worn in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them. Trick-or-treating, is an activity for children on or around Halloween in which they proceed from house to house in costumes, asking for treats such as confectionery with the question, "Trick or treat?" The "trick" part of "trick or treat" is a threat to play a trick on the homeowner or his property if no treat is given. Trick-or-treating is one of the main traditions of Halloween. It has become socially expected that if one lives in a neighborhood with children one should purchase treats in preparation for trick-or-treaters. The history of Halloween has evolved. The activity is popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, and due to increased American cultural influence in recent years, imported through exposure to US television and other media, trick-or-treating has started to occur among children in many parts of Europe, and in the Saudi Aramco camps of Dhahran, Akaria compounds and Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia. The most significant growth — and resistance is in the United Kingdom, where the police have threatened to prosecute parents who allow their children to carry out the "trick" element. In continental Europe, where the commerce-driven importation of Halloween is seen with more skepticism, numerous destructive or illegal "tricks" and police warnings have further raised suspicion about this game and Halloween in general.
Can someone translate this in Spanish for me please? (without using a translator) Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Last October 31st I did the same thing that I do every year on that date. I went to my cousin’s house to have some fun. When we were younger all of us would dress up in costumes and go trick or treating around the houses in our neighborhood. However this year all of us decided to dress up and go to a costume party. The party was much fun and I will probably do it again this year.
should we have a baby before owning a house? I am 27 years old and my husband is 31. we have been married for almost 4 years and together about 8. my husband makes good money and works very hard owning a family business and i am in the medical field i make decent salary but he is the breadwinner. over all we have a great life wonderful families and a good marriage .. we have had some ups and downs but mostly a few years ago when i was younger .. now our only stress is that we rent an apartment and we both really want to own a home. weve been putting off having kids to try and get the finances and house thing set up. but now i am starting to feel like time is just going by. we have discussed starting to try for a baby and if i get pregant still try for the house but if by the end of the pregnancy we still cant get one we would move to a two bedroom apt. ( we are now in a one Br) . its just hard on us because we have a lot of pressure from our families and on our selves to own a home. i am afriad if we have a baby first then we will never own one but at the same time my mother and my best friend (who is also married and with two childen) told me there is never a "perfect time" and sometimes you need to make things happen and let everything fall into place. thats how i feel now. like im waiting for things to happen and its been the same thing the past few years. also just to note that i have always been ahead of my years. very mature for my age since i was a teenager. i have lived on my own got engaged at 21 and since then have been catering big family holidays have had my dog for 5 years and my also run my husbands business with him so i almost feel like i should have had kids by now. i cant wait for birthday parites halloween costumes dance recitals soccer games wtih the kids! lol so my ques is ... should i continue to wait or start trying for a bayba lol ?
What to do for Halloween??? My Fav Holiday! :)? My boyfriend and I are dressing up this year as a bee and a bee keeper. Last year I got so excited, I decorated outside out house, and I bought a ton of candy, and we only had 1 trick or treater, we live in a townhouse neighborhood and there are alot of older people. But since I love Halloween, and we have already started buying costumes, what is there to do? We don't like to go to parties, or bars. I am 25. Would it be okay for us to go trick or treating? Or do you think we are too old? We were just going to go eat dinner with my parents with our costumes on, but anyone have any better ideas? We live in FL.
Christians, what would you do if your church had a holiday concert and sold tickets for it? Let's say that they were not even asking for a "suggested donation" but required that people paid the fee in advance or at the door in order to get into the concert. This is what is happening at my church, but is makes me very angry because it is a sin, as expressed in Mark 11: 15-17: On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: " 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'" Their excuse for making this concert into a business is that they must pay for renting the costumes (it is a Boar's Head Festival), and they must pay the orchestra. Still, this is no excuse to turn God's house into a theater. They have even covered up the altar for this performance! I have talked to a fellow elder about this situation, but I doubt they take my concern seriously. What would you do if you were in my shoes? SERIOUS AND RESPECTFUL ANSWERS ONLY, PLEASE!!! Zelophedad's daughter, you are a Jehovah's Witness, so how can what your society teaches be in harmony with the Bible? The Bible teaches that there is on God who manifested Himself in three persons, but you disagree. Jenny K., it's pretty fancy that an atheist would tell a Christian about being Christian. Oh, and where exactly did I judge? You need to get over yourself! Amen, Worker4IAM! Santa Percy, I hope that someone is more respectful and sensitive to your concerns that you were with mine. And atheists on this website complain of Christians being pushy with our beliefs! You are just as pushy. I forgive you though.
Im 22, if i came to your house dressed up on halloween, would you give me candy? I love holidays, i don't have any kids of my own to go trick or treating with, and my parents religion prevented me from trick or treating as a kid. so i want to go this year. But my question is would i get candy? I want candy.. i do understand i could go out and buy myself candy, but i want free candy! i want to get to experience trick or treating, if you saw someone as old (pretty young if you ask me) come to your door, in full costume would you really deny me candy? or would you give me some sweets like everyone else? what if i just wear a white bed sheet and squat really low or be on my knees when they open the door so maybe they think im a little fat kid or something? LOLOLOL... i dont want to resort to trickery "trick or treat!" ;)
What countries celebrate Halloween? And I mean the holiday on October 31st, not Day of the Dead or any other comparable holiday. Do other countries celebrate Halloween the same way that we do in the US? (FYI, on Halloween in the US, children dress in costumes and go door-to-door through their neighborhood, because people at every house hand out candy. Adults celebrate with costume parties.)
Some good upbeat Christmas songs? I know its early. But I love the holiday and as soon as September hits, I start getting in that sort of mood. Plus, I'm planning a huge Christmas party with lights, music, I'm renting out a club house, costumes, bartenders, entertainment, so I need to start getting everything in order now. I want Christmas music, but what's a better party killer than those old timey slow christmas carols. I need something upbeat, in these genres. Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop/Techno. Something you can dance to, ya know, So far I have Merry Frickin Christmas - Frickin A' Walking round in Womens Underwear All I want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey Let it Snow - Jessica Simpson Frosty the Snowman - Jackson 5 I need........ Deck the Halls Jingle Bells Jingle Bell Rock Silent Night We Wish You a Merry christmas No place like home for the holidays And anything else you can think of. NO DISNEY NO CHRISTINA AGUILERA (I love her, but she over sings her Christmas stuff)

Does anyone go trick or treating anymore? Now a days it seems that churches, ymca's, public places are holding functions for kids and charge them for admission. What happened to the good ole days of going house to house? I think this holiday has fizzeled out. What is the age of a child that they should stop dressing up in costumes? Oh yeah, with that said, don't you hate when the older kids don't even dress up, and just wear torn clothes or just go as they are???
Baby's first Halloween- what are your plans/what did you do (depending on your baby's age)? My husband and I love holidays we love having a reason to decorate the house and have a special meal Valentines, St. Patricks Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, even Arbor Day all get celebrated with a bang -Christmas is huge at our house- But no holiday is celebrated quite like Halloween. We plan for months in advance our costumes, how we'll carve our pumpkins, how we'll decorate, etc... We love Halloween more than any other holiday. We've known since we were pregnant that we wanted to dress our son up for his first Halloween as Freddy Krueger (the undead villain from the A Nightmare on Elm Street series by Wes Craven) But we weren't sure who we should dress up as, yesterday we finally had a breakthrough: In the fifth Nightmare on Elm Street movie, Freddy Krueger's the spirit of his mother, Amanda Krueger, comes back from the dead to reveal that Freddy was conceived when she, a nun working at a mental asylum, was accidental locked in a room with patients and raped repeatedly. So we decided this year for Halloween, our son (who will be 8 months old by October 31st) will go as Freddy Krueger, I will go as a nun, and my husband will go as a psychiatric patient. What are you plans for your child's first Halloween? costume? party? anything? Or, if your child has already had their first Halloween, how did you spend it? Just so you know, we're not like party animals or anything we don't even drink we just love holidays because they give us a reason to celebrate life And Halloween is not our favorite for any Satan worshiping type reason- we just grew up watching alot of classic horror films and grew to love Halloween for the excuse to watch those same scary movies again
What Makes Halloween So Great? Isn't halloween the best holiday ever?? I truly love it. every fall i get so excited for halloween. its the time of year, where all the scary decorations and candy and costumes come out. i love dressing up. buying candy. and decorating my house. and watching all the scary movies. omg. i love it. there is such a crisp, creepy feeling to the air. what do you think? what do you like about halloween?
Halloween Survey !!! :D? Woo! Okay. I know we still have a bit til Halloween, but I'm bored. 1) Trick or Treat? 2) "Boo" or "Muahaha" ('scary sayings') 3) Sweet candy or sour candy? 4) milk chocolate or dark chocolate (candy)? 5) pumpkins or jack-o-lanterns (which one is better)? 6) scary or fun (holiday) ? 7) witch or fairy (costumes)? 8) movie character or zombie (costumes)? 9) Tinkerbell or Dracula (costumes) ? 10) Haunted house or scary movie (activity)? 11) popcorn balls or rice krispy treats (treat)? 12) pranking or partying? (activity) Sorry I know it's kinda boring but still, I want to see what the answers are. :) Thanks everyone
What's your favorite Halloween memory? Halloween was my favorite holiday when I was little (and I still enjoy it). It was never really about the candy for me, although it was a nice bonus. I loved figuring out my costume, and carving the pumpkins, and going house to house and seeing what the neighbors were trying to scare us with!
figure skating outfits help!? Okay so i might be joining a holiday show at the ashburn ice house. Around how much money do you think the costume may be around?
costumes Halloween? I love Halloween it is my top holiday. I am having a hard time finding a good costume. It is useally cold on halloween and every thing I look is very skimpy. I don't want to look like the rest of the silly girls shivering all night or stuck in the house. Any good suggestions
What the heck has happened to Halloween? When I was a kid, Halloween was about scaring the hell outta each other... people would decorate their houses to look like old graveyards and lie in wait for trick or treaters to come by to pounce out and yell... I remember one house had an electric chair with a "corpse" in it holding a bucket of candy... Now Halloween is all cutesy and sissy la-la... Jack o' lanterns are made to look like friggin Care Bears and the costumes are all fairies and pirates... I hardly ever see anyone decorate for Halloween anymore What happened to my favorite holiday?!
Please help ladies, I really cant lose her? Ok Its a long story but i would like your advice on how to get her back because she literally eean everything to me. Sarah and me were together for 3 years (5days and 12 hoursish) every single minute of it i tresured and so did she. When i say we were deeply in love i literally mean deeply, I have talked to a freinds of ours and they all say the same thing, that anyone that looked at us could see the love we had. This is one of the reasons why it is so hard to be apart since we broke up. On halloween night we decided to go out, i had no costume and sarah being the creative minded side of the couple decided to make me a basic one (i.e. green tshirt with question marks on it and a mask with a plastic cane, i was the riddler all of a sudden). I protested but she was having none of it in her clown outfit, so i went out angry, and that was only the start of my problems. Needless to say i got incredibly drunk and was a complete d**k. I was fine in the bar but after my 16th or 17th pint i blacked out (I have never liked going to bars or nightclubs). All i remember is waking up the next morning with a killer hangover and a angry girlfriend. she said that i was rude on the way home and that i was a emotional wreck, constantly pressuring her to move in with me when i moved to university aswell and then getting angry and crying because she didn't want to. This i am really sorry for because i had already asked her and she said she would see how things went between us. And i was happy with that. But when i went back to hers i became the ultimate nightmare, i was rude to everyone, argued with sarah and her housemates. for this i feel totally ashamed and embarassed because i didnt just argue with them, I put her relationship on the line with her housemates. Anyway moving on, its been just over two and a half weeks since the split, we still talk and its not the same as it used to be (obviously) but i cant stand it anymore. She says that she still wants to be freinds and that she loves and misses me but she needs time to heal. She also mentioned that any chance we have of getting back together isnt going to happen till after christmas, if at all. This is literally breaking my heart everyday. Now dont get me wrong im not the most sensitive of souls, before the break up i think i cried once in 8 years (my parents breakup) and ive always thought that i was going to be the "Big strong boyfriend that can deal with these kind of things" but this has totally floored me. It literally feels like the whole world is moving forward and im staying in the same place no matter how hard i try. I cant stop thinking about her and i cant even stop myself dreaming about her. Ive recalled every good time we ever had together (From our first kiss, our first dance, the time when i showed up at her house with soup and crappy dvds because she had swine flu and couldnt leave the house, to just going into school just so i could walk her home even though i lived 4 miles further from school than she did) and its killing me. I want her back so much it hurts and i just dont know what to do anymore. Im not used to this kind of situation and im completely lost, we have met up once on saturday after she texted me to see how i was and i was truthful and said not great, she then called down to my house and we sat in the car talking for a while. What really threw me about this is the fact that she kept holding my hand, stroking my arm and hugging me, and whenever we hugged she kissed me on the neck and i dont know what to make of that. I dont regret anything that happened and neither does she, we are both still in love with each other and we miss each other horribly but she wants to be young and experience new things at university and be care free for a while. It may sound stupid and cliche but she is the woman of my dreams and i have even thought of our future together (House, family, holidays, how and where i would propose, everything) and i just want her back. Im trying to change because before the break up we were happier than we ever have been because i addressed my problem with drink and for 2 months before the break up i had at most 3 pints of beer. I will literally do anything for her because i love her. Im also quiting drink completely (which is hard because im a barman) and im quiting smoking too. Im also trying to fill up my week with things like voluntering and im applying for university all over again (i was kicked out over a year ago and i sunk into a depression which i never told her about). So please any advice you can give me would be fantastic, im not looking for some sneaky plan but i just want to know the kind of things thats going on in her mind and, roughly, what she may be thinking about our relationship. Any advice or help is much appreciated. Thanks. P.S. Im sorry if i sound desperate or needy in this but i believe in our relationship and i dont want to lose the one person that makes me happy. Ran out of room but i need to mention that she is the one person that i dont want to fail, she is one of the only people i can really talk to (which makes this hard) and she is my best freind, im afraid that i wont just ruin our relationship, il also ruin our freindship.

I propose a boycott on JesusWeen? JesusWeen is lame, boring, and just sucks in general. Also it has a really stupid name. Why should we waste time with that crap? "But BrokenEye," you may ask, "surely we should be able to celebrate SOMETHING?" Right you are, hypothetical person, we should be able to celebrate something. So I prepose a new holiday in its stead. A holiday of mischif. A holiday of fear. A holiday of kids dressing up as little monsters and stuff and asking for free candy from their neighbors. A holiday of horror movies, ghost stories, haunted houses, and other forms of fear-based entertainment. A holiday of making lanterns our of pumpkins with faces carved into them for reasons that nobody's really clear on and then using the insides of those pumpkins to make various pumpkin-flavored sweets and pastries. A holiday of awesome costume parties where chicks dress as slutty versions of things. I call this new holiday "Holloween" which is short for "Holiday that's better than JesusWeen" because I'm not very good at naming holidays. Who's with me?
What should I be for Halloween? I'm almost 18 and I don't know what I'm doing for halloween, but I'm DEFINITELY going to do SOMEthing, and im pretty sure I'm going to be having a party at my friend's house the night after -- which means 2 costumes :D :D :D It's my favorite holiday. So of the following, could you please tell me which one you think I should be? I'll probably dress in the two highest rated costumes. Cleopatra Vampire (like, a hot one) Indiana Jones (the girl version) Pirate Girl (Not the cheezy costume, the actual style of that time period)
Trick Or treat? What is the best trick you've played on someone or had played on you? What's the best way to scare people? Whats the best stunt you've seen at a haunted house? What's the best costume you've seen? Tell me everything!I just want to know everything about halloween. Did you know it's a christian holiday? Don't you just love october? halloween. isn't that just the best saying? are you readyfor halloweeen to come nocking at your door?
This Halloween, Celebrate as a Witness to your neighborhood!? I've seen some people asking questions about celebrating Halloween if you are a Christian family. Halloween is just All Saints day, an old Christian holiday, so to begin with there is nothing wrong with it, and the scary costumes are meant to scare away demons - a good thing I think. Secondly, why not dress up as Biblical characters at your house and hand out candy along with a small bible tract to kids who come? Christian parents will probably love it, and others will appreciate you went to the extra trouble. Why lock your doors and be a humbug when you could be witnessing in a fun way? OK, scratch the bible tracts, that gets a little church lady-ish. But a nice Noah costume? Come-on!
My family NEVER does anything on holidays? nothing. well we make food thats about it...but its always just us. You see my relatives live in different states, so we never spend holidays with them. and my mom's friends are always inviting us to go to parties (for whatever holiday, halloween, christmas, thanks giving etc) but you see...she NEVER "feels" like going. today is thanksgiving of course, and we got invited to a thanksgiving party thats supposed to have tons of food and all of her friends in her crowd are going, except us.... ugh i haten ot doing anything, holidays are always so boring for me. i hate sitting in the house while everyone i know is either hanging with relatives and friends and having a good time. Her escuses are always "i dont feel like it, i dont want to drive its snowing, i dont have a costume, blah i dont want to buy presents, blahblahblahblah. sigh ;\...idk its just frusterating not really having a full holiday expierence like everyone i know has...
Baby's first Halloween plans- what should we do to celebrate? My son will be 8 months old for Halloween. My husband and I are a young couple (26 and 21 years old), and Halloween is our favorite holiday. We celebrate Halloween even bigger than we celebrate Christmas! The last few years, we've gone trick-or-treating for unicef with our nieces and nephews half the night, then passed out candy the other half of the night. We always get dressed up in costume, always go all out decorating our house, always carve jack-o-lanterns. This being our son's first Halloween- we want to go all out. Really show him off and get some good stories for the baby book. We've already designed his costume (we're making it ourselves), and we picked cordinating costumes for ourselves as well. We got everything ready to decorate the stroller to match our costumes. We don't want to take him trick-or-treating for at least a couple years, but we do want to have some fun. So besides trick-or-treating, what can we do to celebrate Halloween with our 8 month old? What did you do for your child's first Halloween? My husband is in the military, and he has a Mon-Fri job on base. Since Halloween is on a Saturday this year, I was planning on taking my son to base that Friday to show off his costume. Maybe even take some candy to pass out to the soliders, lol. It wouldn't be the first time I took my son in to visit "daddy at work" so I know that we are welcome so long as we don't get in the way of work.

What should I do for halloween!? Its going to suck this year!!! I'm not aloud to go out with my friends for some reason, my parents haven't even told me why. Whenever I can't go out with my friends I go to my grandparents and help with trick or treaters but I can't do that either. We dont get any trick or treaters where I live. I didn't get a costume, I didn't get to carve pumpkins, theres nothing for me tonight. My mom didn't even buy my candy!!! I'm 14 I need halloween, its my favorite holiday!! No friends can come to my house I'm stuck at home with my parents....all my siblings got to out tonight even younger ones, I have no clue why I cant. What can I do to make it seem a little more like halloween?
Who wants to make some more holidays? I think we could combine every holiday and it would go like this -- Put on a costume, go to other peoples houses, eat turkey, exchange a small inexpensive gift, drink green beer, say I love you, give them a colored egg, drink more green beer, go outside and blow off some fireworks, drink some more green beer, say a silent prayer for all of our fallen military members, drink green beer. WHAT WOULD YOUR HOLIDAY CONSIST OF ??? Okay people, Apparently some of you misunderstood. I put MORE HOLIDAYS. That means IN ADDITION TO. And of course, they would have to be federal holidays so everyone gets off. HA HA, I said gets off, HE HE.
Halloween poll? What's your favorite thing about Halloween? *The candy *The pumpkins (For carving, decoration, or pie) *The trick-or-treating * The Halloween parties *The fact you can scare people or get scared yourself *The whole holiday *The decorations (for you to decorate or admire other people's) * The weather at this time of year * Being able to get in a costume *The crafts. (Like building a foam haunted house) * The stories and legends and stuff around this time of year *Games played around Halloween It seems the option 'candy' is really popular. It seems the option 'candy' is really popular. I love to scare people too! BOO! X_X
Sister in law in a swimsuit - is she flirting or is it my hang up? Since watching the Olympic games back in 1996 I've always had a thing about women in swimsuits that makes me go weak at the knees. I find it very attractive. My wife has no interest in swimming but my sister in law goes regularly and is a good swimmer. When she has discussed swimming I have sometimes wondered (curiosity I guess) what type of swimsuit she wears - i.e. bikini, one piece, or one piece that goes to the knees. My favourite suit is a bare legged one piece. However it's not really the sort of question I can ask her so I've always tried to change the subject. Last year we were all on a family holiday and she was going swimming with her husband so asked me and my wife to join them. I felt a bit awkward about it given my strange interest in swimsuits and wanted to say no but at the same time I felt that this may be my only chance to see her in a swimsuit so decided to go. I felt if I at least saw her it would scrath that curiosity I had. We went and swam in the pool, went to the jacuzzi and also to the steam room and I got to see her in all her glory (bare legged one piece swimsuit) which bizarrely made me feel relieved as I'd finally seen her. Legs are my favourite part of a woman and the bit i'm most curious about so seeing all her legs was satisfying as well. I should point out that there is no other attraction - I just purely wanted to see her in a swimsuit. I felt a bit guilty but she didn't appear in the least bit uncomfortable in front of me (i thought being in only a swimsuit was a big deal for a woman?) and opted to stay with me and my wife in the steamroom whilst her husband went to the sauna. I'm sure I caught her looking at me a couple of times which made me feel a bit better as I'd checked her out a few times. For all I know my wife and my sister in laws husband were also checking each other out. Anyway a few weeks later we were away again at an apartment that had a jacuzzi in it. She went in with her husband and feeling awkward as ever (given my swimsuit interest) I stayed clear so I couldn't see her. Then she told my wife she wanted to speak to me about some random subject - i.e. forcing me to see her in a bikini. After a couple of minutes of talking she stood up and came out whilst talking to me - honest I thought all my Christmasses had come at once. A girl who (I'd been curious to know what she looked like in a swimsuit) now standing comfortably in a bikini whilst I was fully dressed and able to get a look at her. She went in the hot tub a few more times during the holiday (each time walking past me in the house) with no towel and just her bikini on. I only went to the hot tub once (with my wife) and made sure my sister in law was away at the time. We did go swimming together (which she wore her one piece for) and I caught her looking at me in the communal showers afterwards (admittedly I was doing the same to her). I'm a relatively cool guy and on the surface I don't show any signs of nervousness or excitement when she's in her bathing costume. There is no way on earth that she can possibly know that swimsuits are my big thing. I guess my question(s) are - is she flirting with me? Admittedly swimsuits are my turn on so is the problem all mine? Is it a bit of both - my obsession with swimsuits plus her flirting with me? I'm assured that gir;ls do check guys out at the pool - do you girls agree with that? We are due to go swimming again soon - should I avoid it or go again? Your thoughts - guys and girls would be appreciated. J

Hair? Makeup? What Choices are There? I'm going to have a house party on Valentine's Day (I'm in college). Since I think Valentine's Day is a hallmark holiday, I thought it would be a funny statement to dress like a girl (I'm a guy). I just need some ideas--does anyone know what a good costume would be? I'm about 5"9' and pretty skinny, so I think there's a lot I can choose from. Thanks! RE: Doesn't matter--I'll shave my legs, etc. I don't get embarrassed.
Ancient Gaels believed on October 31, known as Halloween, the boundary between the living and dead dissolved? You are kindly invited to share your opinion(s) on Holloween..... Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving Jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories and watching horror movies. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, New Zealand, and occasionally in parts of Australia. In Sweden the All Saints' official holiday takes place on the first Saturday of November. History Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (Irish pronunciation: [ˈsˠaunʲ]; from the Old Irish samain).[1] The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is sometimes [2] regarded as the "Celtic New Year".[3] Traditionally, the festival was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolved, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them.[4][5] History of name The term Halloween is shortened from All Hallows' Even (both "even" and "eve" are abbreviations of "evening", but "Halloween" gets its "n" from "even") as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day",[6] which is now also known as All Saints' Day. It was a day of religious festivities in various northern European Pagan traditions,[3] until Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the old Christian feast of All Saints' Day from May 13 (which had itself been the date of a pagan holiday, the Feast of the Lemures) to November 1. In the ninth century, the Church measured the day as starting at sunset, in accordance with the Florentine calendar. Although All Saints' Day is now considered to occur one day after Halloween, the two holidays were, at that time, celebrated on the same day. Liturgically, the Church traditionally celebrated that day as the Vigil of All Saints, and, until 1970, a day of fasting as well. Like other vigils, it was celebrated on the previous day if it fell on a Sunday, although secular celebrations of the holiday remained on the 31st. The Vigil was suppressed in 1955, but was later restored in the post-Vatican II calendar.
Halloween: are these things true? I found this article on the internet and it sounds true. Also I read the Scriptures cited and they indicate that the God of the Bible must hate Halloween. HALLOWEEN IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF THE YEAR FOR SATAN WORSHIPPERS *** The Facts Behind Halloween—Ancient Night of Terror *** It is the last night of October. By the light of the moon, a small group of costumed figures move from house to house stating their demands with dire threats. Guarding some doorsteps are grimacing pumpkin heads glowing with burning candles—made from human fat. Other doors drip with human blood. It is the night of Samhain, Celtic lord of the dead. Perhaps in no other holiday does Satan so obviously honor himself and honor his war dead. The writer J. Garnier suggests that celebrations of suffering and death can be traced back to the ancient destruction of all of the Devil’s human followers, as well as the giant bully sons of fallen angels, at the time of the Flood. Cultures the world over have festivals for the dead, “held worldwide on or almost the exact day on which, according to the Bible, the Flood took place: the seventeenth day of the second month—the month nearly corresponding with our November.”—The Worship of the Dead, by J. Garnier. The Druids were no exception. On October 31, Samhain was said to release the spirits of the dead to mingle with the living. Druids roamed the streets with lanterns, and on coming to a house, they demanded money as an offering for Satan. Halloween is a major satanic ritual day. “It’s a religious holiday for Satan and the Demons, with satanists performing sacrifices and witches quietly celebrating with prayer circles or meals for the dead,” according to a USA Today article. It quoted Washington witch Bryan Jordan as saying, “[Christians] don’t realize it, but they’re celebrating our holiday with us. . . . We like it.” Anton LaVey, author of The Satanic Bible and high priest of the Church of Satan states, “Satanists consider Halloween the most important day of the year. Satanic, occult and witchcraft powers are at their highest potency level…Satan and his powers are at their best that night.” Traditional Halloween activities continue Samhain's spirit of celebration in the face of frightening thoughts of death and the supernatural. These include: scary movies, haunted houses, ghost stories and Ouija boards to contact the demons and the spirit realm. Greeting cards, decorations, and candy are also a big part of Halloween. The holiday is second only to Christmas in the amount of money stores make off of it. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION: 1) Read Matthew 22:37 and you decide: Would you want to have ANY part in a celebration that is designed to honor Satan the Devil? 2) Read Deuteronomy 18:10-13 and you decide: What are the reasons that you do not want anything to do with Halloween? DID YOU KNOW? WHERE DO HALLOWEEN TRADITIONS COME FROM? The Jack o’ lantern When the Irish immigrants arrived in America, they brought with them the tradition of carving-out turnips or potatoes and placing coals or a small candle inside of it. These were then displayed on doorsteps at Halloween to ward off evil spirits. However, the Irish quickly discovered that it was much easier to carve out the pumpkin and this was soon a basic tradition of the Halloween festivities. The belief behind the Irish tradition of this carving is based upon the myth called “Stingy Jack”: Stingy Jack was a miserable, old drunk who loved playing tricks on anyone and everyone. One dark, Halloween night, Jack ran into the Devil in a bar where Jack tricked the Devil by offering his soul in exchange for one last drink. When Stingy Jack eventually died several years later, he went to the Gates of Heaven, but was not allowed in because he had spent his whole life lying and drinking. So, Jack then went down to Hell, but the Devil would not let him enter. From that day forward, Stingy Jack has been doomed to roam the earth as a ghost with only a turnip that he had stolen, hollowed out, and with a coal from the fires of Hell inside of it to light his way. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION: 1) Are Jack o’ lantern’s just “innocent fun”? Trick or Treating Trick or treating started as leaving food and wine for roaming dead spirits and ghosts. The custom was referred to as "going a-souling" and was eventually practiced only by the children who would visit the houses in their neighborhoods and be given gifts of ale, food and money. It was believed the spirits of the dead returned to visit their old homes during Halloween and, in ancient times, people left food out for them and arranged chairs so that they would be able to rest. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION: 1) Is trick or treating just “innocent fun” as some people claim? 2) Read Genesis 3:19 and Psalm 146:4 what really happens to someone after they die? Costumes: On Halloween, when it was believed that spirits returned to the earthly world, people would wear masks w
As a guest, what would you think about being invited to a Halloween Wedding? I'm sort of changing my mind a lot, and I'm seriously considering just getting hitched on Halloween next year. My family have always been ridiulously into this holiday (my extended family create a 3000 sq. ft. Haunted House each year in an old barn for the community to come to), and my fiance has always loved the holiday as well. So...if you recieved an invite stating that you were invited to a costume optional but encouraged "Joining of Souls" celebration in a decked out haunted barn, what would your initial reaction be?

Have Ideas for a V.Day Outfit? I'm going to have a house party on Valentine's Day (I'm in college). Since I think Valentine's Day is a hallmark holiday, I thought it would be a funny statement to dress like a girl (I'm a guy). I just need some ideas--does anyone know what a good costume would be? I'm about 5"9' and pretty skinny, so I think there's a lot I can choose from. Thanks! RE: Doesn't matter--I'll shave my legs, etc. I don't get embarrassed.

How is this part of my story? Savannah and Carter sat at the kitchen table carving a face into their huge pumpkin. A knife curved it's way up through the surface, cutting out the shape of a mouth. Carter grinned as Savannah pulled out hunks of orange goo out of the pumpkin. It felt slimy and grimy against her hands, so she walked over to the seat to wash it off. While she was doing so, he was checking out her body. His lips curled into a devious grin as she bent down, but when she turned around, he turned back to his pumpkin. "Jacky's gonna look really cute." she said, patting the pumpkin. "Right, Jacky?" It was funny because Reese always named her pumpkins. He thought Savannah was so cute cooing at the pumpkin even though it was just an inanimate object. Carter helped her carve the eyes into the pumpkin, sneaking kisses on her face. He tried to make sure he didn't cut her with the knife. But at times he would play like he was stabbing at her neck. The doorbell rang and Carter went to get it. Three little girls in identical bumble bee costumes beamed at him. "Trick-or-treat!" they said in unison, holding out their bags. He smiled as he passed out handfuls of candy to each of the girls. "Thank you!" they said, frolicking along his front yard. "Aww...their so cute!" crooned Savannah, taking a handful of fried pumpkin seeds and popping them into her mouth. Carter's mother used to make friend pumpkin seeds every Halloween. She stopped when he was in the sixth grade. When Carter told Savannah about it, she had her own mom make pumpkin seeds for them. Fried pumpkin seeds were the best. The salty taste on his tongue when it his taste buds. The way it melted when it went down his throat. Halloween was his second favorite holiday. There was another knock on the door, assuming it was some more trick-or-treaters, Carter fetched his bowl full of candy. At the door, Andy, Holly, Reese, Elisha, and Palma stood there. "Trick-or-treat!" they joked, making their way into his house. They were all spending the night at his house for Halloween night. Since Savannah's mother was overprotective, Savannah lied to her mother and told her she was staying at Judy Detillo's place. She hadn't even told her mother she had a boyfriend, yet. She was waiting for the right time. Andy fell onto his Italian leather couch, stretching his feet onto the glass table. Reese sat next to him, knocking his feet off of the table. "Pansy." she snarked, taking the remote off of the table. "Turn it on to AMC." commanded Savannah. "They play horror movies all day long in October." Reese flicked to the channel where a Jason Voorhees appeared on the screen. "Look, Palma." laughed Savannah. "There goes your cousin!" "Ha-ha." she said sarcastically, nudging her on the shoulders. "We're gonna rent a movie later tonight, right?" asked Andy. "Yeah, we're stopping by Hollywood Video after Stephanie's party." said Savannah, taking a sip from her glass of Grape Soda. Carter pulled her off of the couch, placing her onto his lap. He pulled a throw blanket off of the couch, engulfing both of them with it. They both thought about the time they spent at the pumpkin patch. The day was beautiful and peaceful. Autumn was now Savannah's favorite month because it will always remind her of that day at the pumpkin patch. Carter smiled and told her he thought the same thing. "Do you have anything to drink?" asked Elisha, walking around the living room. "Yeah, just look in the fridge." he said, stroking Savannah's hair. Holly was already in her Halloween costume. She was dresses in a black leotard with cat ears on her head. Reese was in her referee costume, Elisha was dressed as a sexy alien, and Palma was dressed as Pippi Longstocking. "Where's your Halloween costume?" Palma asked Savannah. "I'll put it on soon." she answered, focusing her eyes onto the television set. "What are you?" asked Carter. "A hybrid of a butterfly and a angel." Palma giggled. "That sounds far out!" "That's the point." When Carter finally got to see her in her costume, he thought she looked beautiful. She had on a golden dress similar to Elisha's, a golden halo was attached to the back of her dress, her facial makeup consisted if blue, green, and purple glitter and a drawing of a butterfly on the side of her face, and her wings were golden that completed the look. "Wow, you look pretty." he said, looking at her up and down. "Thank you." she said, modeling her costume for her friends. "Every girl is going to be hating on you." gushed Elisha, playing with Savannah's wings. "Yeah, I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill you." joked Reese.
Can my employer dictate whether I dress up for Halloween or not? I have been working for 2 1/2 years at the same restaurant. The previous two Halloweens we were "required" to dress up, which was fine by me because I love an excuse to wear a costume. This year I specifically asked for the shift again, and spent a lot of time/energy and money on my costume, only to find out less than a week before halloween that we aren't going to be permitted to wear costumes at work this year. Now personally I think it should be well within their right to decide this, however I think that they should have told us before the schedules were being made so we could book it off if we wanted to dress up. As it is, it is very difficult to get a shift covered because we are short on staff and now I am stuck working and not allowed to wear the costume I spent so much time and money on. Worse yet, I heard an (unconfirmed) rumour that they are going to let SOME of the front of house staff dress up (hostesses, bus boys, bartenders) but not the servers (which I am one of). My question is, a: does my employer have the right to tell me whether I can dress up for this holiday if I am required to work, b: do I have any recourse for them not telling me with enough notice, especially when it is different from the previous two years when we were required to dress up, and c: are they violating my rights by descriminating, allowing some employees to dress up and not others? Thanks for your input.
What should I do about halloween? Okay, so the orginal plan was that I was going to go to my sisters house to her halloween party then my friend X was going to come and get me once she was off of work and ready and we were going to go to a bar or something. Well...I havent had a job since like May, I had enough money to get me through the summer but now im dead broke and I mean DEAD broke! I have nothing to my name, and my mothers been amazing in helping me with gas money (I dont really have any other bills) I've been activly looking for a job since May but nothing has come up, I was a really good canadate for this one job and was very confident that I was going to get it, well I still havent heard anything and because of this I have no money to go out after my sisters party. I figure thats fine I can just go have enjoy the holiday at my sisters, well...my sisters husband is very sick so they cancelled the party. So its looks like I'm not going to do anything. Well see heres the main problem. My friend X's costume is pretty complex and somehow I'm the one who has ended up doing all of the work for her costume, its only about half done. Seeing as I'm not going out I really dont feel like finishing her costume for her and then watch her leave me behind (trust me she will go out even it means excluding me) so because of this I do not want to help her anymore I've already done SOOOOOO much for her for this costume, its like she just expects that I will do all the work so she can take the credit for *thinking* of it. So...should I help her or let her finish it on her own?
Sweet Sixteen - Halloween/Birthday Partyyyy Ideas? So, my favourite holiday is Halloween. Let luck have it, my birthday is about a week before this wondrous holiday. It will be co-ed, I'm hoping for about 20-30 people. No alcohol, no drugs. For the most part, minimal parental supervision. [[As in, they'll be there, but they won't be with us.]] My house isn't huge, but its not really small. I have a decent sized back yard. With the right decorations and party stuffs, it has a lotttt of potential. I was thinking costume, but then I thought that may be too cheesy, cliché, or no one will come in costume. But I, personally, am not opposed to the idea at all. So pretty much, I need ideas; Entertainment, Games, Themes, Eats, Drinks, Decorations, Other Ideas, Possibly Music, etc, etc, etc. Any other info? Ask or email me. [[e.keithley@yahoo.com]] Very much appreciated! xoxo

It's my favorite holiday of the year and I go all out (I could rival some of the best haunted houses in the US) But this year I want to make my annual halloween party into a surprise murder mystery. The only problem is I'm not sure where to begin and what to do, So does anyone have any advice? Personal experiences, websites all are welcome and greatly appreciated! *note: I have about a million decorations for my house and was wanting to keep the story as modern as possible so my guests don't have to buy another costume and i can use all mu decorations I already have:)

How do you say? In spanish? We all get together.. We go to my cousins.. In Eid, on the first day my dad and brother go to the mosque and pray, meanwhile me and my sisters help my mum clean up the house and decorate it abit until my dad and brother comes home; when they come home we go out and buy gifts then we go to a few of our relatives homes for half an hour each then we go to my aunts and stay for dinner and watch tv, and enjoy there till late at night. then on the second day we go round to the remaining peoples homes and eat lots and lots of traditional sweets. On the third day we stay at home until the evening then we go to a hall where everyone comes and we have a big party! ..My traditional costume is a kind of dress, with wide trousers they are both covered with mirror and lots of sequences. ..For new year this time we didnt do much my cousins came round and we watched lots of TV. .... throughout the year my favourite day has been ..It has a longer holiday there, and people get their presents after us, and they believe that the three kings bring the presents instead of Santa Claus; I personally think England has a more fun christmas though! Thanks in advance its parts of homework lol not all my homework the hard parts i asked help for! =] miss said it doesnt have to necessarily be true
Is the my short ghost story any good? plz rate :)? My english teacher said i had the best short halloween story in the class, and i was wondering if it really is any good. im not sure. Ive been working on a book full of short stories and i was wondering if i should add this one. Mary Hightower little sister looks out of the living room window waiting for the sun to set. Mary Stumbles down the stairs miserably in her fancy white and purple princess gown. She walks over to the full length mirror in the hallway, dragging her heels and letting out a long sigh as she swivels her hips, letting the ruffles on the bottom of the dress sway from side to side. “What’s the matter with you?” her sister asks Mary curiously. “I’m just so devastated that I won’t be going out this year,” she tells her sister wistfully. She considers this what her big just said. It takes her a minute to realize what Mary ment. “You mean you’re not trick-or-treating?” Mary nods sorrowfully and her sister asks wide eyed, “But I can’t go out on my own. This is horrible, terrible; I can’t believe I’m missing Halloween!” “Chill out, okay Megan,” Mary tells her sister, “Mom’s taking you to Allies house. You and the parents are going to have an awesome time doing whatever you little nine year olds do whenever you’re together.” Megan mouth opens up into a big smile. “Well then, I guess everything’s okay. And you know, you’re only two years older than me, so if I’m a little kid then you’re a sub-little kid.” Mary rolls her eyes. “No, eleven year olds are not ‘sub-little kids’,” she tells Megan. “Then what are they?” she asks. Mary sighs and says, “You know what, I really don’t care. And hey ‘everything’s okay’ for you, but what about me? Thanks for caring enough about me for missing my favourite holiday with the whole ‘I’m able to get candy, why care if my sister is?’” Megan look at her sister confused. “Why aren’t you going out?” Mary shakes her head. No way is she going to tell Megan that story. Her mother beeps the horn of the car and, without a word, Megan jumps down from the couch she was sitting on and races to the door with her orange and black striped Tigger tail flapping joyfully behind her. She jumps into the back seat and they drive off into the distance. Minutes pass and Mary is constantly pulled away from the TV screen to answer the door for numerous kids collecting candy. A movie and a show later, there is an unusual tapping at the door. Even before Mary opens it, she senses something is wrong. The door cracks open and standing in front of her is a little boy, all alone, holding out a highlighter orange pumpkin casket. His eyes are blood shot red and his neck looks swollen. He wears a navy blue bathing suit, has a pair of goggles over his forehead, and has wet, matted down hair. In some ways, he reminds her of the little boy from The Unborn she had just finished watching, except it almost looks as if he’d just been swimming. “Trick-or-treat?” the boy asks sluggishly to her. Even from inside, Mary can feel the cold October wind whistling through the trees, is if it’s whispering something to her, a warning. Something weird is happening, Mary thinks to herself. And she’s right; it’s too cold to go swimming. Mary squints at the boy more carefully and asks, “Hey, what’s your name?” “Rogerson Biscoe,” he replies. Mary smiles at him. “How’d you create that weird effect on your costume?” Rogerson looks at her blankly, making no effort to reply, which bothers Mary. “How did you make yourself look so... transparent?” She clarifies, hoping to get some sort of an answer. When Rogerson doesn’t react, Mary huffs and slams the door in his face without handing over any candy. Just to make sure he doesn’t run away crying to his parents, Mary Spies on him through the peek-hole in her door. The last thing she needs is to get in trouble... again. Rogerson doesn’t make any movement. Eventually, he slowly turns around and walks down the street. But as he’s walking, Mary notices something odd about him. Maybe she’s just seeing things but Mary’s sure that his left arm looks one-hundred percent... solid while his left arm still looks likes it has faded. Mary rubs her eyes. She fells the pressure of her right hand against her face, but she can’t sense the left. Mary slowly walks over to the full length mirror she was admiring herself and her pretty dress in, and stares in complete horror. Her left arm has vanished. Mary steadies herself and leans onto he back of the door thoughts swirl through her head. Seconds later, the door bells rings. Mary lifts her head to the hole and gasps when she sees an old woman with a burned face and a stale body. When the woman turns to leave Mary catches a glimpse of her bright pink lips Mary opens her mouth to whisper, this can’t be happening, to herself, but nothing comes out, because her mouth is no longer there. There is a load crash outside, Mary doesn’t bother checking to see who what happened. A few seconds after, there is a knock. Mary takes a deep A few seconds after, there is a knock. Mary takes a deep breath and then opens it. No matter what they look like, just be polite, and give them candy, Mary tells herself. Halloween is said to be the day where the portal from the dead word opens, so they can roam the living word for one night until the portal closes. The people who came whispered trick-or-treat; taking her body must be the trick, because she didn’t give any of them candy. But when Mary sees who it is, she can feel the blood draining from her face. In front of her, stands a little girl in a Tigger costume, her face is the colour of chalk, the only colour left is the thick red blood, flowing from a fatal cut on her forehead. “Trick-or-treat?” she asks. “W-what’s your name?” Mary asks the girl horrified. The girl is silent for a second and then replies, “Megan Hightower.” A wet salty tear trickles down Mary’s face. She hops... though Megan who makes no effort to budge, and jumps on her leg to see her mom’s car, crashe into a tree in her yard. Mary pokes her head through the shattered window and glazes mournful at the lifeless body of her sister, and glowing body of her mother. In the distance, she can hear the sirens of the ambulance coming closer and closer. Just as Mary’s about to turn around, a ghostly hand rises from her mom’s body. She screams jumps as fast as she can to the door and slams it on Megan’s face, an action she will later regret. She whips of her tears with the back of her hand and looks once again though the peek hole. Megan turns around gradually and walks away, complete, except for two empty eye sockets. Mary’s eyes grow wide; she can feel everything but sight leave her body until she can’t feel any more. She runs to the mirror, not feeling her legs touch the ground or her heart beat. How did Megan take so much of her? Is it because she knew how, because she was closest to her heart? Or was it pay back for every part of Megan that she’s hurt? Once Mary approaches the mirror, s she watches as her eyes, the only thing really left of her, slowly fade away. A few seconds after the door bell rings... again. Mary jolts up awake on the couch screaming. She grabs her face stomach and feels up and down her legs with relief. She wipes the cold sweat off her forehead and eases up slowly. When the door bell rings she nervously opens it, but is comforted when she sees a crowd of seven, solid kids. A few minutes later, there is an unusual tapping at the door. As Mary walks over to it, she feels a bit weird. Mary shakes her head. It was just a dream, she reassures herself. But as soon as Mary opens the door, she gasps. Standing in front of her is a little boy, all alone, holding out a highlighter orange pumpkin casket. His eyes are blood shot red and his neck looks swollen. He wears a navy blue bathing suit, has a pair of goggles over his forehead, and has wet, matted down hair. Something weird is happening, Mary thinks to herself. And she’s right; it’s too cold to go swimming. Mary gulps; she doesn’t say anything. She wants to reach for the lonely Kit Kat on the bench beside her, but can’t seem to move. The ghostly boy turns around and walks down the driveway. Mary holds her arm tightly, but it doesn’t go anywhere, and neither does Rogerson. The clock above her strikes twelve and the little boy vanishes. Don't you think this explains christmas and its Pagan origins good? I got tired of people asking why Atheist celebrate it and also saying it was made up by christians lol No one knows what day Jesus Christ was born on. From the biblical description, most historians believe that his birth probably occurred in September, approximately six months after Passover. One thing they agree on is that it is very unlikely that Jesus was born in December, since the bible records shepherds tending their sheep in the fields on that night. This is quite unlikely to have happened during a cold Judean winter. So why do we celebrate Christ’s birthday as Christmas, on December the 25th? The answer lies in the pagan origins of Christmas. In ancient Babylon, the feast of the Son of Isis (Goddess of Nature) was celebrated on December 25. Raucous partying, gluttonous eating and drinking, and gift-giving were traditions of this feast. In Rome, the Winter Solstice was celebrated many years before the birth of Christ. The Romans called their winter holiday Saturnalia, honoring Saturn, the God of Agriculture. In January, they observed the Kalends of January, which represented the triumph of life over death. This whole season was called Dies Natalis Invicti Solis, the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun. The festival season was marked by much merrymaking. It is in ancient Rome that the tradition of the Mummers was born. The Mummers were groups of costumed singers and dancers who traveled from house to house entertaining their neighbors. From this, the Christmas tradition of caroling was born. In northern Europe, many other traditions that we now consider part of Christian worship were begun long before the participants had ever heard of Christ. The pagans of northern Europe celebrated the their own winter solstice, known as Yule. Yule was symbolic of the pagan Sun God, Mithras, being born, and was observed on the shortest day of the year. As the Sun God grew and matured, the days became longer and warmer. It was customary to light a candle to encourage Mithras, and the sun, to reappear next year. Huge Yule logs were burned in honor of the sun. The word Yule itself means “wheel,” the wheel being a pagan symbol for the sun. Mistletoe was considered a sacred plant, and the custom of kissing under the mistletoe began as a fertility ritual. Hollyberries were thought to be a food of the gods. The tree is the one symbol that unites almost all the northern European winter solstices. Live evergreen trees were often brought into homes during the harsh winters as a reminder to inhabitants that soon their crops would grow again. Evergreen boughs were sometimes carried as totems of good luck and were often present at weddings, representing fertility. The Druids used the tree as a religious symbol, holding their sacred ceremonies while surrounding and worshipping huge trees. In 350, Pope Julius I declared that Christ’s birth would be celebrated on December 25. There is little doubt that he was trying to make it as painless as possible for pagan Romans (who remained a majority at that time) to convert to Christianity. The new religion went down a bit easier, knowing that their feasts would not be taken away from them. Christmas (Christ-Mass) as we know it today, most historians agree, began in Germany, though Catholics and Lutherans still disagree about which church celebrated it first. The earliest record of an evergreen being decorated in a Christian celebration was in 1521 in the Alsace region of Germany. A prominent Lutheran minister of the day cried blasphemy: “Better that they should look to the true tree of life, Christ.” The controversy continues even today in some fundamentalist sects. I did copy and paste it,but i found it and thought i would share it with anyone.. I did not claim to write it.. lol I could of not put it as nicely as that any way lol
Help with english tense needed?!? I got a piece of english work back that I wrote, and my teacher said my tense in some parts is wrong: I remember some of the wishes I used to make on my birthday while blowing out the candles on my cake. One year, on my seventh birthday I think, I wished for a pony. The next year I wished for a hot pink car for my Barbie dolls to go for a ride in. Other years I’d wish for things like new clothes, or new shoes, or make-up; all those girly things that you want to make you seem like a big girl. Not anymore though. None of that stuff matters anymore. There’s only one thing I want and I wish for that same thing every year. I suppose deep down I know that it will never come true; not unless you’re able to go back in time and change the past, that is. It was late summer - July 26th I think. My family had just arrived at Gatwick Airport and for once, we were running on time. Earlier than anticipated in fact. We always seem to get stressed every time we go on holiday. Everyone would be rushing around the house, bouncing off the walls like a firework, looking for the passports that Mum had ‘put in a safe place’. We’d all be feeling as tense as a coiled spring, worried that we wouldn’t make it to the airport on time. Not this time though. We were all surprisingly calm. We knew exactly where the passports were, what suitcase the swimming costumes were in, what time the taxi was arriving to take us to the airport. We were all set for a perfect, relaxing holiday with lots of sun, sea and sand. What could possibly go wrong? Walking into the airport, we glance around the room looking for the right check-in point. I stand on my tiptoes trying to reach the height of the Eiffel Tower, attempting to look over the many heads in this overly crowded room. “Over there, Dad. I think I see it”. We load our numerous suitcases onto a trolley and wheeled it across the room, dodging in and out of the crowd; like a rugby player racing to score the winning try. After checking in and giving in our cases, we make our way up to security. The long grey machines lay across the floor, each accompanied by a guard wearing a flamboyant, florescent, orange vest. A black bowl waits at the end of the machine for me to put my valuables in. I rummage deep down into my pockets and present some loose change, my brick-like mobile phone and my I-pod and drop in it the bowl. The bowl glides up the conveyer belt, moving into the main part of the machine, like a frog bringing the fly on the tip of its tongue into its mouth. I walk through the barriers, trying not to look suspicious; I’ve always been told I have a constant suspicious looking face, which doesn’t help when being interrogated over something I haven’t done. “BEEP BEEP BEEP”. Typical. Trust me to set the alarm off. The continuous beeping sound rushes through my head like an annoying bee on a summer’s day. I stand to the side and a female guard comes over to search me. She pats my body, as if she’s giving me slight smacks for misbehaving. I stand to attention with my arms outstretched in a frozen star jump. The urge to not laugh due to the feeling of being tickled becomes too much and I erupt into a fit of giggles, causing much embarrassment to myself. It's the last paragraph that went a bit wrong. Is 'wait' meant to be 'waited' and 'rummage' meant to be 'rummaged'? Thanks!

How many Christians and Jews plan to celebrate Halloween? Our faiths teach us to stay away from Satanism. Halloween originally began with the Druids as a festival of child sacrifice. This is even where jack-o-lanterns and hexagons were used. Why, the candles for the j.o.l.s were made from human fat. This holiday even created trick or treating. The Druids would go to a selected house and request a child or maiden (The treat). When a house complies, a jack-o-lantern would be placed on the windowsill to inform the demons or whatever not to harm anyone in the house. If a child or maiden was not surrendered from the selected house, a hexagon would be put on the door, and the people inside would later be killed (trick). Even today, beside the non-satanic costumes and fun games, there are still remnants of the first traditions, and Halloween is a special holiday for Satanists. Just look up the history of Halloween, and you will receive the same facts. My mother knew, and she would never let me go trick-or-treating. Knowing all of this, how many Christians or Jews still plan to celebrate Halloween? How many parents of same will still let their kids celebrate it? Tim, I know many churches have those celebrations, not knowing anything about its origins, for the sake of fellowship. Isn't that sad? Squirrel, look it up. You shall find the evidence! You want evidence, you've got it! http://www.exposingsatanism.org/halloween.htm http://www.libertytothecaptives.net/why_fake_christians_push_trick-or-treat_ritual.html http://www.av1611.org/halloween.html PS: If you respond to this question, please refrain from name-calling. Thank you!
What happend to Halloween and when did it change? When I was a kid, we dressed up as devils, witches, clowns, and trick-or-treated from afternoon until late. the only rules of thumb were not to eat any candy before having mom inspect it, stay w/your group, and only go to the houses w/a porch light on. Now, people get upset at the "dark" costumes, and trick-or-treat "hours" are from 6-8. If you don't like Halloween, than don't participate; keep your light off (or when you run out of candy) and we won't bother you.People didn't used to be so paranoid about it and it was harmless, clean, fun. I'm all about keeping trick-or-treating safe, but what's all the hubbub about costumes? Can't kids just enjoy one holiday w/out it becoming a religious issue? When did this change and why?
read the Runaway child sweethearts ? Two German children, aged five and six, have been stopped from running away to Africa get married, say police. Mika and Anna-Bell got together their swimming costumes, sunglasses and a lilo and headed for the airport. They even thought to take Anna-Bell's seven-year-old sister with them to be an official witness at their wedding. But a guard called police when he saw them at Hanover railway station and the travelling trio were persuaded they'd need money and tickets to reach Africa. Police spokesman Holger Jureczk told reporters the young couple were "very much in love" and had decided to get married in Africa "where it is warm". Anna-Bell and Mika came up with the idea as their families celebrated New Year's eve together and Mika told the two sisters all about a recent holiday to Italy. The next morning, they crept out of the house while their parents slept, walked about half a mile to the local tram station and hopped on a tram to the railway station. Parents relieved They were about to get on a train to the airport when their African adventure came to an end as a guard got suspicious when he spotted them on their own with all their summer gear and called the police. Now Mika and Anna-Bell's wedding plans have been put on hold, but they did get to have a tour of the police station while they waited for their relieved parents to collect them And funny.
When should I go to his flat and what will the signs be that he doesn't want to see me? This question applies only to the men. Met this guy who I think is called Steve Cullen from Ballymun in Mayo in Ireland before December outside a night club in Sligo where I was looking for the man who I was with in the nigtclub from Galway, so I asked if he knew him but he said no and we got talking. He said "Wait a second do I recognise you, you look kinda familiar, I said maybe at the Halloween party! "Maybe he said. I was dressed up as catwomen in the Clarence!. Ya thats you he said. I followed him that Wednesday night because I thought he was getting taxi but then I realised that his home was near by so I said I was gonna get a taxi home. "Come in for a few minutes, so I did, we talked and I liked him and that was the first time I spoke to him, then he was tired and he lay on the sofa but we still talked and he asked me to stay the night there in his flat but I said no I don't do that when I first meet a guy but he explained that it would save me getting a taxi and I would get more hours of sleep because it was almost 3 am at that point. "Fair enough he said, I asked him to walk me to the taxi so he did and he was disappointed that I didn't stay longer, anyway I forgot my umbrella. "Great he said you forgot your umbrella, now you will have to come back, its great that he left somethingf in my flat so it delays you from leaving too soon. Went back to the flat and we cuddled on the coach and he put his arms around me as I relaxed from walking back and forward making him nervous, we talked and he didn't force sex on me, he didn't request it or hint or even try to kiss me or ask for a kiss, he just wanted me to relax beside him and he liked my body warmth against him. Got a taxi home which he was dreading coz I didn't stay any longer than an hour after being on the sofa or coach for an hour. Saw him again near my breakoff for the christmas holidays but he didn't recognise me until I mentioned my costume on Halloween night and maybe more, then he asked me to come inside and appologised for not rembering me and for acting clingy and wanting me to stay the last night and he said I was right to go, after a while of talking he said before you go to the hairdressers could I have a kiss first please, I said no which he accepted and was okay with and responded "But there is an attraction, you do feel an attraction towards me, okay he said. Before I went I explained that I would love to go on a date with a man and he replied "We must go on a date in the future see what happens. What did he mean by that?. He said he would be around later if I wanna stop by again later. I left a few of my belongings in his house and I am wondering when would be the best day to get them back? What signs should I look out for that he doesn't want to see me or hear from me or me to see him?
Halloween? This will be my son's first Halloween, he's going to be almost nine months at the time. Do you think it's ridiculous of me to dress him in a costume and maybe trick or treat at the neighbor's houses we know--just for fun? My husband does--I was just wondering if it's just me or if first holidays are really that important?
I hate Halloween ? It is annoying? I hate Halloween cos it is annoying ppl come and ask for more and more candy even though they haven't got any costume on.Last year me and my mum turned of the front lights and stayed upstairs. But this year my mum broke loads of her bones and is downstairs in a bed so the light will be on and my nan who came from holiday is a TV addict so the TV will be on to. Last year they broke Into loads of houses cos when they open the door they get in with a KNIFE. If we don't open door they will ring door bell forever any way I can stop this.

What's a good retirement gift for my mom? I want to buy my mom a retirement gift to show my appreciation to her for working so hard over the years to support me and put me through college. She often thinks I don't appreciate her just because she doesn't think I thank her enough and we get into little fights at times but I want to show her I actually care. She's retiring after about 38 years of being a high school teacher. What can I get her that isn't expensive? I'm on the tight college student budget! She likes to cook. She cooks dinner every night and we always have family and friends over for summer bbqs (my dad does the bbqing while my mom cooks side dishes) and holidays. There's always tons of food involved and she likes everything in a casual setting. She likes useful kitchen supplies/tools that are high quality but she hates it if I buy something that takes up space on the counter, so it would have to be something that can easily be stored away. My family has a love for food and my mom loves seafood, especially fresh dungenous crab. She also likes to travel. She usually only likes things that are practical/functional (not things that just sit around the house and don't do anything). The only exception to that is jewelry- the only problem with that is, she doesn't like costume jewelry. She only wears 18 or 24 kt gold and diamonds. So I guess that's out of the picture since I can't afford that. My mom's friend is already treating her to a facial at a spa.
Why do they not celebrate Halloween? As a kid, I grew up in a city with a lot of people of Eastern European descent (Ukrainians, Yugoslavians). I remember than in elementary school, many of those kids didn't participate in Halloween. Every year, they left halfway through the day, before the Halloween costume parade and festivities. They didn't trick or treat. The street that I lived on had only a few houses that actually gave away candy. I had asked my friend, who was Ukrainian, why they didn't celebrate Halloween, and she simply told me it was evil and that is was the "Devil's Holiday". I didn't question that too much, and I respected her beliefs, but now that I'm older, I want to know where this belief came from and why these people have it. I've since moved away, and am no longer in contact with anyone from there, but I still wonder. Can anyone shed any light for me? Thanks...
Help! What to do for my boyfriend for Halloween!? Ok so I kinda slacked off with the excitement for Halloween this year (we couldn't decide on costumes or where to go or what to do so nothing ever really got done plus I was thinking that we might have his son which would rule out any bars or adult parties but his mom ended up having plans for him so we are kiddo free). So my boyfriend didn't take the night off from work... well come to find out, Halloween is like his favorite holiday and so now I'm feeling crummy that I kinda ruined it for him. I'm planning on going to his work (he works at a casino) tonight to get out of the house but I would really like to do something or bring something there to surprise him and to maybe lift his hallowed spirits. Any ideas? Halloween themed preferred with maybe a romantic twist? I'm wanting to do something or bring something to his work which is a large casino -- lingerie might be an idea for at home... Also: I feel kinda guilty that I'm doing anything since he can't. I mean in my defense I thought I was going to be watching his son (his mom just told us she wanted him on Wedsnesday.. not alot of time to plan...). So should I just stay home and that way we both were bored on Halloween?? FYI They have cameras EVERYWHERE in the casino... when we first started dating, I thought about but then he told me how powerful those cameras are and the type of guys sitting up in the security booth so that kinda vetoed that idea

what do you do at a masquerade party? I'm turning eighteen (yay! i know, right?) and well, a masquerade party this year is going to be out of the question, although it was my favorite idea. So, just to be ready for the holidays, I need (masquerade) party pointers. Where would you have one anyway? In a ballroom, a huge house? And so, okay everyone shows up in their great masks and costumes, ready to have a good time. Now what? What do you actually do at a masquerade party? Is it strictly a dance or is it a contest? Oh my gosh, what do I do?
I was wondering much about Jack Thompson's sanity? Alright,I'm very angry with him ruining people's fun, like gamers! Now,I for one am upset with him, trying to push his views on people,if he wants to do this,do it to his kids, not ours. I like nothing more is to test his sanity. What would you do if he came to your college or school,to talk about "games",you know what I would do,talk about how stupid he is to think that games are dangerous, and ask him if he played any games. I bet when Kong came out way back he was going his way into proving the game was violent. Now,I also am asking him,if he is here today,in this section of Yahoo! read this now,or forever hold you damned peace.Have you ever learned that some games may be good for your kids? Animal crossing is a fun series to play, dude, you should try it,it isn't violent, and it helps kids be prepared to put out "bells" for mortgage, be nice to your neighbors,oh,shall I bring up the holidays? These games teach kids what to expect during life, that they need "bells" for almost everything to clothing, food, bills, and let's not forget repairs on the house. I bet you would say 'games like this mess with kid's views on animals',dude, sit down and speak with your kids about this game. No one will be violent on this game, senior Thompson,it's a social game, have you ever in your mind thought about the games Nintendo intended?Animal Crossing is not something to go nuts about because animals are people in ways in this series, they don't walk on all fours, they walk on twos, they wield anything with their hands even know some are suppose to be without the thumb., Okay, where was I?Oh yeah, his sanity, anyway is he this crazy? Oh,I have a solution if he tries, yet again on the whole Violent Video Games thing,I say we make him play all GTA games,we'll do thousands of scans to see if his thought on games are true,if not, than he can be sent away. Oh,might I like to bring this up?Hey!If Thompson's in this thing, you better not say anything about this. What's wrong with Sonic?Come on dude! This guy is like, the mascot of Sega,as Mario is with Nintendo. What?Because he is not a true hedgehog you think he is a bad role model?Dude,I love his games,so I'd pipe it before someone does it for you. Ah,this is another problem I like to put out,if you dare,Mr.T,talk trash about Rammstein,Alice Cooper, and Lordi, you messed with the wrong people. What?Because of Rammstein's lyrics of "Men Tei" you think this band is all about "Nazi",no,your wrong, and besides their songs,in my views, teach you a lesson in each one, such as "Tier",don't be an animal,I do mean, having to sleep with your daughter, and such. Not to mention that "Reise Reise",is like,a Navy song or something. Alice Cooper, why must,if you do,Mr.T,ruin him,he is cool!I like "His Back (The Man Behind the Mask)","Feed My Frankenstein" ,"Teenage Frankenstein",and "Life and Death of the Party..". What? This guy knows his thing, and for once, listen to his songs, some are bound to be your favorites. Lordi. What?Finnish bands suck to you?Are you high?Okay, everyone likes this and that, let me point this out, this band knows how to be creative with the monster costumes,I have one album from them and I love half of it."Blood Red Sandman",if you watched it's music video points out never to mess with something that can summon the angry spirits that lived in that area.. Oy,my fingers are tired.I'm sorry if I'm hurting him,but dude, someone had to point out his flaws the harsh filled way.Look,I know he has his rights, but to ruin the fun for the rest of us,isn't something you should do when everyone else will come after you and make you pay for ruining their freedom of expression. I'm pretty much, asking of his sanity. Is there still some sanity left in him?Or is it all gone?
Revisited..Should i be pissed? OK here is the thing...My mom has 4 kids, a set of triplets and a singleton. I am one of the triplets (we are 22 years old) and then there is my sister who is 12 years old. Alot is going on in our lives...(i.e. a wedding, my son's first birthday, a 2 wk summer camp for mom and sis) I had come from my house to spend time with my mom since she doesnt see my 3 children that often and we needed to prep my son's first birthday. I took on putting together my mothers stuff for summer camp and researching stuff she needed done for that, the only thing i have left is to finish sewing their costumes. The only thing done for my son's birthday is I thought of the theme and date we want it. MY thing is that when she is not working she is alway on the phone with her friend (the wedding she is helping put together) or they are going somewhere. My brother and sister came out here to come spend the day with her and she ended up canceling on them (mind they can only come out for holidays) so.... when they had to leave they were a bit hurt and their kids never got to spend time with her...Am i overreacting about this, is my being upset at her spending too much time on the wedding unjustified? I just wanted her to spend less time on the wedding and more time on her families needs. we had planned this visit for 5 months now and it is more than just the birthday...it is that she has a family and that she has not taken 1 day to spend with us without the phone being stuck to her ear.... BTW i have being working on her obligations that she was supposed to be working on, I took on the summer camp things TO HELP HER OUT.
