Which real estate companies are best for new agents? I'm planning on getting my real estate agents license in the next few weeks. I've heard that Century 21 and some other companies have their own courses. Is it better to attend their course or just a regular local real estate school. Also what companies are good for new agents. Any advice you can give is appreciated! Thanks! Oh and I'll be getting my license in Tenessee.
Do Australian Real Estate Agents have the ability to cross reference a potential tenants previous addresses? For example, if a person listed three previous addresses with one Real Estate Agency, and the Real Estate Agency calls the previous listed Real Estate Agencies, (to check if they were a good tenant etc) can they also cross reference the listed addresses on the application? Is there like a national database or something where Real Estate Agents can see your rental living history? (Sorry if this question doesn't make much sense).
How do new real estate agents make a living? How do new real estate agents make money during periods they have not sold properties. Do you work 2nd jobs, have someone supporting you? Just curious. I am really interested in starting a career in real estate, but I know during the first few years you don't sale as much as agents with years of experience. Do real estate agents have an advantage in real estate investment oppurtunities? I've been reading up about the science of investment in real estate; specifically condos, vacation rentals. I have met some very wealthy real estate agents in Hawaii and some others that make a decent income like 40k a year. Do you real estate agents really help you get a good price when purchasing a brand new home? I can get a $1,000 referral by saying a friend referred me (he is suppose to get the money but he is giving it to me cause he's a friend...). But, would the real estate agent be able to give me a better price on the overall home? Should the real estate agents price override that $1,000 cash? How do I get the best deal? Thanks. FYI, the $1,000 is for community members to refer their friends (my friend is not a real estate agent). EXCELLENT point on the real estate agent...they get 6% around here and the house I'm thinking of costs $118,000. I could "save" them almost $8,000 by going at it alone.
Do real estate agents discriminate based on the amount that is going to be spent on a purchase? I know discriminate is a strong word, but I've contacted 2 agents in the last 2 days and none of them respond to me after I tell them that I'm not looking to spend more than 80K. I know it's a low amount but I'm not looking for a big house. I'm already pre-approved so I don't know why they don't respond to me. Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent in San Bernardino, CA?
What are my obligations to real estate agents? I want to advertise my property for rent but do not want to attach myself to one agent. Could I use many different agents to promote my property and pay commission due to the agents who manage to find me a tenant? I also want to advertise my property myself, do I have to pay any real estate agent if I find the tenant myself?
To the Real Estate Agents out there - How low will prices have to go before you will call it a crash? Right now the Real Estate Agents I know that are still in the business are still saying it's a great time to buy and that if you don't buy now then you will miss the boat. I think that what Real Estate Agents say is a great indicater of where the market is at. So once they start accepting that there was a huge bubble then sellers that are holding out now will start walking away from their mortgages or sell at losses. Then the prices can adjust and might even fall below where they are supposed to be.
How can i get real estate agents to sell my preforeclosure properties? I'm getting into the business of stopping foreclosures, and i was told that this type of business is less than attractive to real estate agents. My question is two part, why is that and what can i do to get them to actively sell my properties...Equity is not an issue, each property has an average of about 20 to 30 thousand, with all closing costs paid, walk through and all...
How do I find real estate agents that really want to work in the south Florida area ? I've been asked to assist in finding one's with great attitudes. This new location is in Pompano Beach, FL. I find it absolutely amazing that most of them are " slackers " and don't give a hoot. Where do I look for the agressive one's - this office needs help & fast ! The tourist season is NOW and there isn't enough good agents that can fill the void. Where do I look besides those real estate schools ? This company pays very well and offers big bonuses and retirement !
Can real estate agents earn extra money on the side through design consultations? Does the structure of a typical real estate brokerage allow real estate agents the opportunity to integrate design consultation in their sales? (IE: the possibility of selling the apartment staged and keeping the full profit as long as said agent spent his or her own money to furnish the unit.) Will home loans provide additional funding towards home furnishings, or would that just need to be covered in the overall approval? ?

How to i market our service to real estate agents and professionals? My client has a service that allows real estate agents to promote their listings online (http://www.vflyer.com) by distributing to the major online marketplaces, email and widgets. I want to know what is the most cost-effective, efficient and scalable way to promote the service to real estate agents. Marketing ideas we are considering and evaluating are: 1. Direct Mail Using Postcards 2. Email (Opt-out) marketing 3. Fax Marketing 4. Sponsorships Not sure which are most effective or which real estate agents are most open to. Would love to get some input. We want to get their message out since everyone who uses it loves it out but they don't want to be too intrusive or have our message considered spam. We would love creative ideas to reach large numbers of real estate professionals inexpensively.
What is the process of buying a house with out real estate agents? I am looking for information regarding the purchase of a home that doesn't involve real estate agents. Any and All information from state to finish would be helpful! Neither buyer or seller party want to deal with real estate agents. Is it common to get ripped off by real estate agents? Also, I would like to know what are the most common ways that real estate agents try to get as much money out of their clients. I realize that there are a few "bad apples" in every profession. My point in asking this question is that I have no experience with realtors and I want to know what to expect: the good and the bad. I've only heard rumors that realtors can rip you off and I want to know if some do, how does it happen?
Is it legal for real estate agents to pay referral fee to a person who is not a real estate agent in Australia? I introduced an overseas buyer to buy a property in Australia and asked for a referral fee from the real estate agent. The real estate agent told me and the buyer that it is illegal in Australia for a real estate agent to pay such a fee to a person who is not a real estate agent. Is it true ? I have checked with some other real estate agents and they told me that they pay people who are not real estate agents referral fees if their buyers succeed in buying the properties.
How do real estate agents find clients? A few months ago I quit my job because i couldn't keep up with school. I've heard that realtors choose their own work schedule, and even though i've found basic information about the job, i still don't know how real estate agents find their clients.
What is the etiquette in dealing with Real Estate agents? We are first time home buyers and have never used a real estate agent before. Should female real estate agents get a license to carry a gun for her own protection? I'm going to be entering the real estate industry in a few weeks as a sales person for selling homes. I was just curious about whether a lot of female agents carry guns with them (such as for Open Homes) for their own protection. I want to feel and be safe at all times especially in the times we live in today. I just think it would be very easy for a dangerous person to over power me if we were alone together. Please HELP & answer my question!! Thank you!!
Best way to approach real estate agents? What's the best way to approach real estate agents offering an online service that would help them sell their listed properties? Is it by phone / mail / email? I would assume most real estate agents still arent that comfortable using the internet / email that the best approach would be a letter or tele marketing?
Are real estate agents eligible for unemployment benefits? In the state of Georgia, the Dept of Labor states "You must be unemployed through no fault of your own". Real estate sales have completely stopped and there is no work/business. Would real estate agents be eligible for unemployment?
What questions do I ask real estate agents? Any agents out there? I'm currently in high school (senior year) and I'm going to be attending a luncheon with a bunch of real estate agents in my city. I basically have to ask them questions about their career. I have no idea what to ask them. Its for a class and I really need this participation. Does anyone have any possible questions that I can ask. Please give me some questions.
Does anyone know any websites that help generate leads for real estate agents? Has anyone had great experience with websites that claim to generate good leads for real estate agents? What are websites that are moderately priced but give you good leads? Has anyone used the homegain? Is it good? What about Trulia? Any info you may have on any website that generates leads for real estate agents would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Real estate agents: Do real estate agents really have a clients' best interests at heart? Question sounds argumentative, I'm probably not asking it right. My question is more to do with whether you think real estate agents are incented to sell property quickly for a reasonable price, or sell property for the best price possible. It seems to me (in my rather uneducated opinion) that to squeeze a few extra thousand dollars out of a listing (which nets probably only a few hundred dollars in fees for a agent) is probably not going to happen. Thoughts?
How are Real Estate Agents making it in this slow market? I am a Real Estate Agent in Indian Shores, Florida. I used to get over 80,000 hits on my website www.seeopenhouse.com, now I am down to maybe 300 hits per month. From 3 to 4 calls per day to maybe 2 calls per month. I continue to wait and continue to market, conduct open houses, create other websites, mail outs, prospect etc.. but I find buyers and other real estate agents are not showing up for the open houses and not calling on my listings. So how are other agents in other parts of the country making it?
How do real estate agents work? How much do they cost.... What if I have a very broad area in which I would like to look at homes in.... What if I don't end up finding a home for a while.... How do I find the right agent..... Any information on real estate agents would be appreciated, but emphasis on the specific questions above.
How can we go about changing real estate agents if possible? My real estate agent works with the construction company that built our home. We are doing a rent to own deal. We have learned that our real estate agent is very undependable. She hardly answers her phone and if we leave a message she doesn't respond back. Is there a way we could change realtors?
for UK real estate agents: how much do you earn in terms of sales commission? I work for a Spanish developing company with several apartments on sale in Tenerife, and we are considering the English real estate market. So, this is a question for estate agents in UK: how much the apartment/house.. owner must pay to the estate agency/agent in terms of sales commission? Please answer in terms of % of the sales price. By the way, another question, for any one in general: I'd be very grateful to have a list of advertising webs in the UK which are completely free when placing an ad.
Are There Any Real Estate Agents Who Want To Make More Money? I'm a mortgage broker in LI, NY. I'm looking to network with a couple real estate agents in the LI, Kings, Queens, or Bronx areas. I plan to put together a free homebuyers seminar. We'll pack at least 50 prospects into a room, I'll show them how they may be able to afford a home while you teach them how you can find them the house of their dreams. I also have a system for finding motivated sellers to pack your pipeline, which I may teach to the right people. Reply for more info.
With so many people doing so much on line, Is there a future market for real estate agents? I am recently unemployed with 25 years of administrative, marketing and sales experience. A little over a year ago, I recently earned my real estate license. I attempted to sell real estate while holding down my full time job. (I had to pay the bills!) But, I went into the red almost immediately with desk fees, etc. I need more training in order to sell real estate. I don't want to throw any more money away, if there is no future for me in selling real estate. I need to work for 20 more years. I'm wondering if we are in a time when real estate agents are going to be phased out? I have changed companies and put my license in referral. I believe it will cost me another $250.00 to take a two week course to get going again. I need some advice.
Anyone have more info about work from home real estate agents? I have completed real estate school, and will be getting my license after I pass the Texas state exam. I'm pregnant, so I was wondering if there are any company's or sites that hire real estate agents from home. I know I've heard of this before, but I'm not having any luck finding it now.
About using real estate agents to get tenants for my condo - is it worth it or practical? Based in Quebec (Canada). I am planning to use a real estate agent or realtor to rent out my apartment. Which means I will pay him/her a month's rent when she/he finds me a tenant for a year. He/she'll do the ads, the credit checks, criminal checks, paperwork, show the place, etc. Pls tell me about your experiences, good and bad, or about the pros and cons, etc.
How can I make a claim on a real estate agents errors and omissions insurance? Several errors occurred in the sale of the home I bought that I believe the real-estate dual agent should have caught, but didn't. The most major was that the home was sold to me as a much younger home than what official records dictate--that was a primary consideration for why I bought the home. All of this is in writing. I may not have legal grounds to prove fraud, but a notable material misrepresentation is present and documented. How might I be able to make a claim against the agent's Errors and Omissions Insurance for the misrepresentation? Thanks for whatever help you can give me.
Do real estate brokers/agents have to have full disclosure attachment for properties owned by them? In a contract to buy a house owned by broker/agent in PA. I found some major defects and want to get out of the contract. Problem is we are past the time for inspections and stuff. We know the agent/broker had knowledge of prior damage. The problem is he never filled out disclosure forms because he stated he never lived in the property. Some people are telling me that since he is a real estate agent/owner he had to have full disclosure beforehand, Is this true?
How are new construction real estate agents paid? Only comission or salary too? I am currently working as a real estate agent for a nationwide company, Century 21. We are relocating and I am considering working in new construction because there is tons of new construction in the city where we're moving. It seems like the agents sit all day in the office waiting for clients. They can't go out and door knock or send mailers etc, as I do now as an agent. How do they ensure they get paid? What if no clients come in and they really can't do anything proactive to get more clients. I have an interview soon so I'll get more definite answers about pay, but I was just wondering and considering all my options so I can have a job lined up when we move. Thank you!
Real estate agents-how long should it take for them to get back to you? I have started learning about real estate investing and I've been searching for properties online. I called an agent (that works at one of the top real estate companies) and left a message for her with a with a question about a property. That was 2 days ago and she hasn't called back. I feel this is unprofessional. Does she care to sell the place? Or are agents just really busy? It's making me want to deal with another agent instead of her. Also, I called a mortgage banker at Chase and he never called me back either. I don't understand why people don't call back. Is this common?
Do new Commercial Real estate agents have time for a side business? I am a business owner. I want to keep my business but want to get out of the day to day running of it. I have always been interested in Commercial Real Estate. Is there time to build a CRE agent career and keep an eye on my business (10 hours a week average, I am guessing)?
Do real estate agents need to identify themselves as such when buying a house? I've been told that California requires a licensed agent to disclose to the Seller that they hold a RE license even if they are buying for themselves and not representing another party. I haven't been able to corroborate that any place. Must a licensed real estate agent identify themselves as such when entering into a transaction on their own behalf? If so, where can I find the code section?
When will real estate agents become extinct? Will real estate agents soon go the way of travel agents? Do you see a time coming good when everyone will be a for sale by owner by default, because commissions got so low that everyone got out of the business. That's how its getting here in Chicago. Discounters have it down so low that it absolutely isn't even worth the bother and headaches of listing. They are discounting down to $1400 a deal list wise. To me, it isn't worth getting crabby calls for 45-60 days from sellers, and all the loan and other problems, let alone showing the house constantly, for $1400 dollars. At that point, not even worth doing for side money. I wonder how many agents are saying enough already, getting sick of seeing desperate teeeming masses of new agents dropping commissions lower and lower, and getting out of the biz altogether. Once everyone FSBO's, no one will save money cause there is nothing to compare it to, and prices will find their own new level. SImilar to when gas went self-serve.
